About Boom Dekka: 

Marvin Brown otherwise known as Boom Dekka was born in the parish of St. Thomas Jamaica to the proud parents of Desmond Brown and Patricia Anderson. He was born into a gifted family with the voice of entertaining an audience, from his brother Koolant to his cousin Quain to Phrophecy, Boom Dekka set apart from the rest.

Boom Dekka's voice is commanding, his lyrics is appealing, his style is his own and like no other. Boom Dekka grown up in a small community by the name of Wilmington and attended Morant Bay All age which is now called Morant Bay primary, he later went on to St. Thomas Technical High School for further studies. The name Dekka was given to him by one of his class mate which comes from the word deck which means a platform. Marvin Brown decided to keep the name Boom Dekka, has his stage name because it had meaning to which he could relate.

He has performed on various shows such as East Fest, Summer Hype and in 2010 he was one of the artists chosen for the Jamaica TV program Magnum Kings and Queen. Despite the fact that Boom Dekka did not win this competition, he was well received by the Jamaican people and he worked hard to give his fans what they wanted to hear.

Dekka inspiration comes from listening to acts like Shabba Ranks, Bounty killer, Buju Banton, Terror Fabulous and even normal people going about their day to day life. Not only is the artist a dj but he’s also a writer. Boom Dekka is the master of his own lyric and his also a mentor in his community by teaching other Young upcoming artists the craft of deejaying and writing their own lyrics.

Boom Dekka sees himself in the next 5 years fully seasoned into the music industry, going places and giving the people great music like any artist would want in their career. The artist is currently working with a Record Lable based in the USA Cliff Side Entertainment to release his long awaited singles since appearing on Magnum Kings and Queens.

So far the artist has recorded several songs sure to be a hit for 2012 including Man of Interest and …. The artist is also working with a producer from Zimbabwe Africa to release his first single there entitled “Like This Place”. 

Most recently, Book Dekka also began working with Upsetta Records in the USA.  "Bring Di Ting" by Boom Dekka was released in April 2013 on Upsetta Records' Kingship Riddim to rave reviews and international airplay.  In the near future, Upsetta Records will also be releasing Boom Dekka's "Give Thanks" on the Pot a Cook Riddim, Single, "Real Survivor" by Bredren B (Ghana) and features Boom Dekka, Cario Muzyk and Senita Mogul (Jamaica) and many more trendsetting in the near future.
