HOUSE OF RIDDIM FESTIVAL
Karibische Klänge im Pielachtal -Inmitten der idyllischen Kulisse des
Festivalgeländes Hofstetten-Grünau findet auch heuer wieder das
House of Riddim Festival statt presented by mfg und BOOM-A-RANG
Sound.

Die hochkarätige Mischung des Lineups jamaikanischer und nationaler Acts sorgt auch dieses Jahr wieder für das oft zitierte „IRIE“–Feeling.
4 Tage lang und zwar vom 12.08 – 15.08.2006 wobei der Di 15.August ein Feiertag ist, tauchen die Besucher in die rot-gelb-grüne Welt des Reggae's & Dancehalls ein.

Während die ersten beiden Tage im Zeichen der Preparty bei freiem
Eintritt mit österreichischen Soundsystemen stehen, sorgen die letzten zwei Tage für das heurige Reggae-Festivalhighlight.

Mit den Headlinern Israel Vibration die bereits vor 30 Jahren ihr erstes Album „Same Song“ veröffentlichten, stehen die 2 Rastafaris für original Roots-Reggae à la Bob Marley.
Für ein weiteres Highlight wurde mit Burro Banton ein Veteran
jamaikanischer Musik verpflichtet. Der „Original Banton“ sorgt seit
nunmehr 2 Jahrzehnten mit seinem Dancehall-Style für internationales Aufsehen.
Die zurzeit wohl explosivste Bühnenshow der österreichisch-deutschen Kollobaration Mono&Nikitaman rundet das Programm ab.
Doch kein House of Riddim Festival ohne die namengebende Band.
Die House of Riddim Band gilt als Österreichs heißester Export in Sachen Roots Reggae und unterstützt auch heuer wieder als Backing Band.

Aufgrund der anhaltend starken Regenfälle steht das Festivalgelände unter Wasser und ist so starke Mitleidenschaft gezogen worden,
dass das House of Riddim Festival nach St. Pölten in Niederösterreichs größten Alternativ-Club verlegt werden musste.
Das Festival fand dann im Club Warehouse statt.

Featuring top international artists from the reggae of the reggae and dancehall scene such as Elephantman, Sizzla, Beenie Man, Konshens, T.O.K, Ward21, Yellowman, Toots & the Maytals and sound systems like Massive B, Rodigan, PowPow, Jugglerz verifies the competence of these two Austrian artists.
