She was the first female companion I ever had in life, we were wrapped around each other's fingers during the 1950s, even shared the same bedroom, walked to school together each morning. We spent our seminal years together. We are both still going strong.

From time to time you meet someone like ships in the night. The connection is fleeting but rewarding. This is a track that I created to remember a guy we met in Bali in mid 2024 whose roots are in Beruit and Saudi although he lives in Dubai now. Maybe we'll meet again some day.

I was watching a podcast featuring the amazing bassist Marcus Miller in which he was talking about music. he was asked the question "What is funk?" His answer was so eloquent. I was inspired to create a somewhat funky track. I hope you enjoy it.

Despite the surgery, and the lack of sleep, I felt surprisingly clear. I wasn’t tired. My mind was sharp. I didn’t feel low-vibration or dulled — quite the opposite.

So I made music.

I opened up Logic Pro and created a track called The Wee Hours. A perfect name for a piece born in the middle of the night in a post-op haze and creative wave. It’s already up on SoundCloud, and it feels like part of the healing.

This track was based on the simple fact that I had discovered that I had a hernia and needed to have an operation. How uncool is that? Doesn't matter, it's only a name.

Kuningan is a religious ceremony that Happens in Bali twice each year. This year I was there again when it happened in May. It comes at the end of Galungan when the ancestors depart after visiting for 10 days, when they return to their spiritual homes. This is what inspired this track.
