In this episode, Merkaba Music presents ÅPÍS and this live set that contains tracks from his latest EP "‘The Åpìs Experience’", older tracks and some from other producers as well. Åpìs is Ori Shevach, a music producer who lives in Israel. Ori’s music combines some Jazz atmospheres, funky grooves, deep bass and new sound design, to take the listener to a new experience through dance. You’ve been a member of the old-school project Necton. As a producer what were the major positive aspects that trance allowed you to achieve?
Ah, the good old wild days! For me, the time with Necton was always more about the vibe, the community, and the amazing parties than an obsession with progressive trance. I haven’t listened to those tunes for a long time; I do not think I even have them anymore.

Desert Dwellers is the convergence of music producers Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe, who honed their individual skills in the mystical desert of New Mexico and California, long before electronic music reached the mainstream. Brought together in the 90s through the legendary Moontribe gatherings, the duo has a extensive history with a #1 album on Beatport, countless collabs, and a long list of iconic venues and festivals they've performed at over the last two decades such as Burning Man, Red Rocks and Coachella in the US, Boom in Portugal, and Rainbow Serpent in Australia.
They have just release their second remix album and to celebrate it agreed to make this special mix for Trancentral- enjoy the ride in the desert!

[Trancentral Mix #038] Desert Dwellers - Re-Imagined Mix

The name of this mix is inspired by the Apsara, or in Thai อัปสร (Apson), the beautiful dancing supernatural female beings of the clouds found in Hindu and Buddhist mythology. When I made this mix I could envision these Apsons dancing sensually through dubby fractal space goddess palaces floating in the sky....hence the name :)
