Shambhala 2023 - The Rabbit Hole

For Those of you that were at the Cabin stage for my set at Basscoast, the first 30 min will bring you right back to the dance floor with me that day at 6pm. However....I had to share more with you. Please enjoy this extended edit I put together and thank you to all that were there with me!

It was such an honour to be invited back to Basscoast to perform for a second year in a row - an invitation thats importance was not lost on me. A lot of DJ's shy away from day time sets, but to me, playing in the day and killing it is a hallmark of a good DJ. You can't go too hard or it won't fit the vibe, but if you don't go hard enough it can be boring. You really have walk a fine line. So shout out all DJ's who can play at all times of night and day, and the producers making the music and remixes that can fit a dance floor or a car ride home from the festival.

This years theme being "Reflection" I wanted to present an accurate portrayal stylistically of my last ten years as a DJ. Ranging the full spectrum of BPM and leaving to no stone unturned, utilizing new techniques and technology that only became available to me this year, and trying things on stage I've never tried before, I am very proud to present my set from Basscoast 2024 at the Cabin Stage on Saturday afternoon. If you were there, I hope this brings you back to a happy place, and if this is your first time hearing it, I hope you enjoy.

BASS COAST! What a journey. I've played every summer since year 2 and it's been an incredible experience to see it grow and become our home. It is consistently the highlight of my summer to squeeze so much bliss into a set and see the smiles and tears that flow as so many of you resonate with the sounds and emotions. This set was the final closing set on Monday morning at Bass Coast 2018 on Slay Bay Stage. It was recorded live off the video board and you can feel the spontaneous imperfection.  Morning sets are all about living in the moment, sharing the first rays of sunlight as they warm up the ground, and feeling a connection with everyone else there. The closing hours of the festival are gentle, quirky, and full of beauty. This mix is a lush and warm collection of my favourite sounds from various artists.  I hope you enjoy.  PS the recording was clipping so it's a little rough around the edges...but thought I'd share anyway.
