We’ve had our eye on Russian footwork prodigy Anna Fruit aka A.Fruit for a couple years now, from her early releases on Sequel One Records and Pixelord’s imprint Hyperboloid Records, to her recent heavier jungle and drum and bass inspired productions on Hospital Records’ Med School and the champion Irish label, Rua Sound. Currently residing in St. Petersburg, Anna is coming off a big few years of touring, with notable appearances at Outlook Festival, Hospitality on the Beach, and club shows all over Asia, Europe and beyond. Her smooth but frantic 160 BPM blend of juke, ghettotech, and bass music draws just as much influence from hip-hop and synthwave as it does from drum and bass, and we couldn’t be more excited to feature her unique sound on the Booms and Claps mix series.
