For the past five years, Boomslang, an ancient god-serpent, has ruled over the shattered Neurofunk landscape, lurking in the depths beneath a dying world. The desolate land above is bleak, where sound is scarce and hope is even scarcer. Wandering travelers, desperate and broken, stumble through the ruins, only to fall into a deep, dark pit hidden beneath their feet. As they plummet into the abyss, they are drawn into Boomslang’s domain—a labyrinth of darkness pulsing with low-end frequencies and forbidden rhythms. In this underground lair, the air is thick with tension, and the serpent’s presence is felt in every rumble of the bass.

The travelers soon realize they are in the presence of something far greater than themselves. Guided by the serpent’s relentless force, they find themselves transformed, no longer mere wanderers but disciples of the Boomslang—ready to rise from the pit and reshape the world above, one breakbeat at a time.

Prepare yourself for an auditory journey like no other as Boomslang Recordings unleashes the highly anticipated Serpentine EP on October 11th, available exclusively on Beatport and Spotify. This release is a dark, venomous exploration of sound, featuring four cutting-edge tracks that push the boundaries of Neurofunk and drum and bass. Returning for its 6th instalment, the ever-popular Future Fire series is back with another EP packed full of the hottest emerging talent in the scene.

Handpicked by label boss Futurebound who has an undeniable knack for spotting the next big thing, the Future Fire series celebrates the best and brightest lesser-known names in DnB, shining a much-deserved spotlight on the hottest up-and-comers.

The first track comes from AC MC & Jaydan with “Show Love”. Summer vibes right from the start, the track is upbeat and bright with warm vocals and glimmering pads throughout. Sharing a spotlight between AC MC’s infectious bars and Jaydan’s bubbly production, this is top shelf DnB from guaranteed future stars of the scene.

Next up is Doloren, winner of the Futurebound “Dangerous” remix competition last year, and now returning with a fire original number. Demonstrating a true knack for dancefloor, his track “Wanna Do” is the epitome of the classic Viper sound and stands tall against the label’s biggest names.

Another familiar name to the label, DEAD WAX returns to Viper with “What I Can Do”. A slightly ominous number, the build-up to the drop is so full of adrenaline before unleashing into a vibrant and again classic Viper sound that will set gun fingers ablaze the world over.

Two more familiar faces to return, AL/SO teams up with Sensus on “Skybound”. Leaning more into the darker side of dancefloor, this dystopian stomper is fast-paced and frenzied, and sure to keep the listener on the edge of their seat.

Last but not least, Hijacker makes their label debut with “Walk Away”. An emotive number with a menacing underbelly, this is yet another prime example of the abundance of talent in the scene that deserves to be shouted about.

With all these tracks ranging in sound but equal in ability, Viper are proud to present Future Fire Vol. 6, and to continue to support the underground roots of the scene we hold so dear. Stay tuned for more, only on Viper.
