I am Lumba Lumba, an up and coming music producer from Nottingham. I have been producing for around 2 and a half years. My biggest influences come from 90's house music and old school garage. Growing up I always remember my mum blazing tracks from the likes of Snap, Technotronic, Corona & ATC. Coolest mum ever there right? haha. While at school I used to listen to the likes of Artful Dodger, Oxide & Neutrino, Lovestation and loved everything that came from the grime scene such as artists like Crazy Titch, SLK, Roll Deep Crew, Kano etc. So most of my influences come from the UK underground music scene really. I played the piano for 6-7 years where I learned how to read and write music. I loved learning about the likes of Mozart, Beethoven, Bach and more. I found there stories really inspiring and used to use the piano to release my emotions. When I was 14 I taught myself a bit about beat boxing which i still use to this day when i make the beats for my songs! I will beatbox out the beat and then play it in how it sounds when i beat box it. My older brother used to Dj a lot up around Nottingham and Manchester and taught me the basics when i was about 15. I spent a couple of years just enjoying music and working really hard to get to university. It was at university where I learned the basics of producing music through some good friends of mine like Illegal Music and some other people who still haven't released there tracks even though they are truly talented! Since leaving university I have pursued music further and have met a lot of great people who influence me and have helped improve my music dramatically. People such as Chloe Martini, TJPN, Henry Krinkle & Andrea Moonchild have really helped me a lot as when I make a new song I will send it over and ask there advice on how to get a better more professional sound. The stage I am at right now is still the beginning for me as I believe I can go a lot further with my music and potentially leave the game as a legend. In my opinion I improve with every track I release so the stuff still to come is going to be epic. I have a few works in the pipeline that may potentially be chart worthy! I hope, fingers crossed. But you can expect to see more of my name in the future as I will keep just upping the game until I am a house hold name.
