Such a blast opening for Beat Kitty! My favorite sets are ones that have a bit of a challenge or a twist, and this one was a great exercise at transitioning from bangin' house to deeper bass-y grooves. Life stuff is making it so I can't go out as much as I used to, so I really appreciated the opportunity to play for such a warm and fun crowd, and to reconnect with my burner fam. Can't wait till next time :)

Live @ Dance Klassique 25th Anniversary

Recorded live at Meow Wolf Denver’s Convergence Station for Bicycle Day 2025, this set was part of an immersive psychedelic celebration presented by PORTAL — www.youaretheportal.com

I was honored to share the lineup with visionary artists and thinkers including Reggie Watts, LP Giobbi, David Satori, Bloomurian, Duncan Trussell, and Zach Leary — all gathered to mark 82 years since Albert Hofmann’s legendary bicycle ride and the birth of LSD.

This is my offering: a hypnotic dancefloor journey through tribal rhythms, organic melodies, disco beats, and 303 acid basslines — a psychedelic set to make your booties move and your spirit groove.

As a former war correspondent turned sound alchemist, music and plant teachers have been my medicine — helping me transmute trauma and reconnect with joy.

This set is a celebration… a thank you… and a portal to something deeper.

April 2025 - GINGERKAT Mix

This set has been in development for a long time. Originally arranged for 2024 campout season, it was shelved for nearly a year. More tracks were acquired and integrated in 2025, abd a bunch that were originally in didn't make the final cut. I've been taking some time off from DJing while learning to play guitar and pursue other creative outlets, but I felt the inspiration to dust off the decks and finally get this set finished. Boomtown is the Bass music project of Laughlin Meagher. Through his work as a live musician & touring artist, electronic music has always been a passionate mode of expression for this dynamic performer. With 30 years on stage & 17 years behind the decks, Boomtown is known for dancefloor oriented music. Laughlin spent 2013 Touring North America with Kytami performing live DJ/Multi Instrumental sets at over 14 festivals, 7 US States, 5 Provinces and countless clubs and venues. Laughlin often tours in the summer as a multi-instrumentalist with GANGA GIRI.
Crossing many genres, Laughlin has shared the stage Many local & international acts including Adham Shaikh, David Starfire, Chris Hatfield, Walk off the Earth, Gaudi, Liquid Stranger, Delhi to Dublin, LTJ Bookum, DJ SS, Kytami, Trevor Moontribe, Andrew Interchill, Random Rab, Emancipator, JFB, DJ Nils and many more.

Boomtown is available for DJ sets, or as a Live Musician for studio or Tour work and also moonlights as a sound tech and Stage manager.
