Boondocks is rooted in the kind of music you might hear at a down-home Southern juke joint - Country-Blues, gritty Rock N Roll and Alt-Country with a dash of folk, swing and bluegrass. Heavily tilted towards original tunes, Boondocks puts a stamp on Rocky Mountain-grown roots-rock while delivering a batch of classic along the way. And if you haven't heard the crafty grit of electric harmonica player, John Kuzloski, get to a show. Little Walker would be proud.

The band's namesake pulls from the river bank pickin' parties on the Ohio River in Meade County, Kentucky where Aaron's grandfather used to perform ole time country music - a haven where river rats and families would gather at the end of a weekend of fishin', cussin' and bourbon sippin' - in the BOONDOCKS.

Led by singer-songwriter/guitarist/banjoist/mandolinist Aaron Davis, the quartet formed in 2006. Alongside Ryan Adams, Davis’s album "Rear View Mirror" was called “One of the Best Americana Releases of 2008” by Rootstime, and Americana UK touted his “fabulously sleezy slide guitar.” The heavy players that drive this grit machine include Andy Peterson (drums, vocals), Dave McCann (upright & electric bass, vocals), and John Kuzloski (acoustic & electric harmonica, vocals) - recognized by Bluegrass Now Magazine for his "righteous harmonica playing."

Boondocks released "Live at the Silver Dollar" in 2007, which features founding & former members Margo Valiante (vocals, guitar) and Bryan Perkes (bass, vocals). The 14-track album features originals by Davis and Valiante and is available at AaronDavisMusic.com, CDBaby.com and iTunes.
