Peterborough born, rapper-singer, Booney may be a relative newcomer to the music industry but he has already achieved so much. 

Booney’s sound is as accessible to casual rap fans as it is impressive to hip-hop purists. His timely ‘Jamie Vardy’ track featured in Spark FM’s June 6til6 Local Music Guarantee playlist, was awarded ‘Track of the Week’ on TheRootMusic Rap Show and was played on the stations’ various sports shows during the Euro 2016 tournament. Booney was also nominated for 'Hip-Hop Act of the Year' at the North-East's Ubeat Music Awards in 2016.

Booney’s stage show is not one to miss. Having performed at various festivals in the early stages of his career, he has honed his live set, ensuring every attendee leaves wanting more. Having performed alongside Newcastle hip-hop legends such as H-Man, Just B and The Great & The Magnificent, and Sunderland’s New North East collective, Booney has also supported nationally renowned, alternative rap trio, PROSE. 

Crediting Drake & J. Cole as his predominant influences comes as no surprise given not only the melodic element to his style, but also his heart-on-sleeve honesty that seeps through his lyricism. Unlike many Britons, Booney embraces American influences and as such he has been able to tap into a ready made audience often alienated by UK hip-hop artists. 

His debut mixtape, ‘Run & Leap’ is just a sample of Booney’s brilliance. The young bar-smith possesses phenomenal potential. With a penchant for perfect timing, grasp of how to remain unique whilst sounding up to date with his peers and time firmly on his side, Booney’s future is bright.
