Imran Ajmain - Yang Ku Perlu (Boonyi 2011 Progressive Remix)

'Boonyi' or originally spelled as 'bunyi' means 'sound' in Malay language was choosen by both award winning Malaysian born producer/remixer/DJ A.W.A.D and Mono@Ndroid. Boonyi label themselves as electronic musician. Their main idea is to create sound and music without no boundaries with anything that is possible.

Not too long before they decided to carry on with Boonyi, both A.W.A.D and Mono@Ndroid have released couple of tracks on few major digital download stores such as Beatport.com, Juno Download, I Tunes and etc. All the tracks were released on few international labels such as our local Nicky C's 220V Digital Recordings, Border Recordings (Mexico), Green Snake Records (Russia), Pollux Records (Greece) and Asia Music (Malaysia).

A.W.A.D who loves ayam goreng and the mighty sambal belacan is a qualified sound engineer and has more than a decade of sound and music composition experienced while Mono@Ndroid on the other hand who is a die hard fan of nasi goreng kampung and cendol is a self taught producer that has been toying around with music production softwares and sequencer for the solid past 4 years. Both shared the same passion and interest towards music and sound.

These creative duo are also no stranger to Kuala Lumpur entertainment and clubbing circuit. For the past few years, they have been spotted to be playing alongside famous international and local DJs in Kuala Lumpur major clubs and music festivals. They were also given the opportunity to spread their music in other parts of Asia such as Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand and even Australia.

Boonyi was formed in the early years of 2010 after both of them decided to take their music one step further which is from the clubbing/underground scene to the commercial mass market. Their aim is to introduce and commercialized our mother tongue language which is Bahasa Melayu on top of each tracks that they will produce. Taking electronica with international standard and quality as the main genre, they hope to reach out to international market.

Their first studio single as duo title 'Berdansa' featuring Missuchi fom Indonesia on vocal was released on October 2010 at Hotfm (97.6). This track is a succes after being announced as the defending champion for the OK/KO segment at Hotfm from 4th to 8th October 2010, defeating other local artists based on public SMS voting system. This catchy electro pop single has a deep message for the mass listeners which is 'lets dance towards unity'. Even though Electronic Dance Music (EDM) is something new for the Malaysian commercial radio listeners, but it shows that Boonyi and EDM are being accepted by the local market. 

Second and third single will be release later in November and December before they launch their Electronic Dance Music (EDM) mini album in 2011.

Boonyi will also be collaborating with many other local and international artists and musicians for their upcoming releases and album.

They are also on schedule to be playing their DJ/Live set at few major local and international music festivals.

These geniuses are currently busy working in the studio for their upcoming releases.
