(Jackson, Mississippi) - Raised on the outskirts of Jackson, MS and moving back and forth between Houston and Atlanta, Boo Rossini A/K/A Cool has been a grinder since the early age of 13.  Brought up in the drug-infested projects, the rapper took to music early on as a way to escape from the harsh realities of the streets.   

A product of his environment, Cool had to overcome many obstacles to make it out of "Cracktown" after witnessing his childhood friend murdered at an early age. After most of his childhood friends ended up either dead or in jail, Cool needed a way out, so he started his record label One Life Music Group.  

A short time later, after selling 50,000 records independently, Cool sparked the interest of A&Rs and label execs, eventually taking meetings with the likes of Steve Stout, Jimmy Iovine and Clive Davis.

But, while Cool was fortunate enough to gain the interest of several labels, due to politics and label restructuring he would eventually return to his roots after a stint with J Records and Interscope.  

After a near fatal car accident where he fractured his neck, Cool found inspiration in music and didn’t allow his trials and tribulations to stop him from what he was destined to do.

When asked about his relationship with Young Jeezy and his ties to CTE, Cool explained his friendship with Jeezy as a brotherly bond that started before music.. 

"Jeezy is like my brother, I knew him before the music.  There's certain people you will always bump into when you in the streets and he was one of them.  We used to connect every time I'm in the A or he's in Houston. 

I recall a situation where I helped with some legal issues when coming through Mississippi. We were both in the streets and doing music so we started doing music together.

Jeezy has now appointed me President of CTE World. The first artist we signed to the label was Houston’s own Boston George.  George was a great fit for the label because he talks the same street language we do, he has the work ethic, the energy and the credibility.  We collaborated on  Drug War 1 & Drug War 2, the duo projects, that included work with Rich Homie, Yo Gotti , Lil Boosie, 2 Chainz and Scarface to name a few. Now in 2016 Drug War III has the platform it needs for the world to see the work we have put in for years” Cool explained
