BINKY SEZ: I had a cool little synth pop sugary riff that I had no idea what to do with. Bootsy seemed to like it, so I threw it her way to see whether she could make something of it, AND SHE DID. And she rhymed "hypomania" with "unsustainia" and OMFG I love that. Part of the joy of co-writing, I'd never come up with a melody even vaguely resembling hers.
Musically, this is part of my current obsession with synth pop. Nothing on here other than Bootsy is organic. I'll get real things in the music again soon, but this is fun. And making Bootsy Music is fun too.
BOOTSY SEZ: I'm psyched that this came together. It's a sweet treat to lyricize over such a lush, cotton candied, electronic, sonic trampoline. This is the 2nd year in a row we've tried something like this, and by gum, I think we may be onto something. Danke, Binky!
