Bootsy Live @ Rotterdam 1995 (Sampled With Permission)

During the first european Bootsy tour in february of 1995, several concerts were taped live and later broadcast.
Dutch VPRO television, recorded the rotterdam gig and showed it one week later. Maurice de Weert (handieMan maurice) was standing right in front of the stage close to Bootsy. During that evening a kind of funk connection was made between the two. When Bootsy came down into the audience they shared a funky vibe.
Maurice was, like the rest of everybody in the house, touched by Bootsy's funk radiation level. When the program was then broadcast, handieMan maurice started sampling pieces of the show and interviews in his studio, the TREE-TOP STUDIO's.

He cut some 250 samples and started reorganizing things. He ended up with six brand new tracks. Bootsy talking while playing at the same time results in a very special effect. It brings your funk to a higher level.
Sjeng Stokking, funk journalist, got hold of a copy and suggested to multiply these tapes for Bootzilla Fanclub (holland). The U.S. headquarters gave the greenlight to spread these recordings amongst funkateers.
During sevaral Bootsy Fanclub Parties, the first tapes were made available to an unsuspected audience in need for real funk.
