the 4th seed comes to you from experimental sound designer, and good friend, ex.sses. in 2023 i wrote for dj mag that 'their productions feature sublime soundscapes, straddling the dark space between sexy, melodic and heartfelt while still being able to flex a disorientating percussive style'. much is true for this mix, abrupt, immersive- fleeting but deep.

"this mix is to pull you in and push you away. it’s for the desires we feel for each other, for ourselves, for the dark club spaces. it’s wanting to leave and it’s wanting to stay. 

as someone who is driven by desire i’ve come to notice those impulsive moments where it takes over, sometimes those moments are wholesome and sometimes they leave you feeling empty and alone. but it’s reckoning with all parts of yourself. 

the tracklist is part production / soundscape and mix. i wanted to bring together the ebbs of desire and what happens when those boundaries dissolve."
