I recently found a whole bunch of mixes I did between 1992 and 1997 and started the long process of ripping the cassettes to mp3.
As I work through them in no particular order I’ll put them up here for download.
Remember the sound quality isn’t great as they were all recorded through a mixer with no EQ and committed to cassette on a shabby home stereo…But what the hell, it’s that authentic 90s sound through and through.

This was a short guest show on Manchester pirate station, Soul Nation FM.

Wax Thief | UK Garage House Bassline | Tilt Shift Tuesday 29th April 2025

Wax Thief is a garage project by local producer Tom from Melbourne/ Naarm. Wax Thief’s productions are heavily inspired by the original UK Garage sounds of the mid to late 90s and the infectious club hits of the 2000s bassline house scene. Since his arrival on the scene, it has been a whirlwind for Wax Thief, with his 2024 breakout track Top Killa getting plays in the European festival circuit by some of House and Garage’s biggest DJs such as Interplanetary Criminal, Sammy Virji, Job Jobse, Dj Seinfeld, Yung Singh and more. 

Wax Thief has also started making waves in the underground club scene supporting UKG’s biggest international acts such as Dr Dubplate and DJ Q, local artists such as Osmosis Jones and with headline shows across Australia, Wax Thief is just getting started so watch this space.

This Rotterdam legend took his turn behind the club TURN decks, bringing his signature UK Garage sounds. DJ Crisps brought a blend of silky 2‑step rhythms, weighty 4x4 grooves, some heavy hitting house and speedgarage to top it off. 

How can a set be smooth as silk yet as gritty as our city all at once? We’re not sure, but DJ Crisps clearly is! With huge experience in both production and (vinyl) DJ'ing, he showcased some serious skill at the Garden of BIRD.
