@XXXTheLabel is a new dutch label created by a bunch of friends that run the eponym "XXX" club nights in Amsterdam. We supported their very cool first release by "Jack Pattern" through our infamous Youtube channel and now comes in a few weeks the second one by Lipsky brother's Simple Symmetry . We do really like their unique fresh blend and premiered not so long ago their track Kalimba on "Cosmic Pint Glass". But to change a bit the game, here is the Marvin & Guy's Afterhour Mix, a long 10 mn epic cut you'd already wish to hear at 6am. in a summer beach festival on those "hands in the air" euphoric moments ! Daniela Caldellas is a producer and DJ from Brazil. Having released music in many styles and guises over the years, Burn The Past, her debut offering as Terr, sees her return to her electro and techno roots.

This three track EP on Hotflush Recordings showcases Caldellas' extensive capabilities as a producer, with a variation of styles present throughout. From the vocal refrains of 'Burn The Past’ via ‘Metropolis’s electro flirtation to the stadium- sized 'May Day', Caldellas flexes a sure-footed range that hints at what’s to come. Burn The Past will be released on both vinyl and digital in April this year.

Force Majeure's debut release on the 'Sulk Magic' imprint comes stocked with mind-altering treats. 
The title track 'Overawed' mesmerises with it's low-slung undulating electronics, acid flashes and arpeggio rhythms. 'Cheap Thrills' then accelerates proceedings with unfussy drums and robotic, bleep heavy melodies. 
Label owner Bird of Paradise offers up a relentless lo-fi version of the latter whilst Melbourne based Jamie Blanco provides a hustling futuristic soundscape. Damon Jee closes matters with his interpretation of 'Overawed', contributing a stripped back, double-time chugger.

A new year means new musical horizons here at the Bordello. Curses formed his sound in the distortion and sweat of back alley dive bar bars amidst the crash of guitars and the audible gulp of beer. Hints of disco and wave balance this rougher edge, smoothing down those creased lines for a style that adheres to no boundaries. “Pedal To The Metal And Don’t Look Back” is a perfect introduction to Curses’ multifaceted sound. Beats orbit burbling bass and brash strings in a work of dreamy hypnotics. “Knife in Teeth” comes from a similarly shadowy lair. Dark bars are further inked by industrial percussion in a track born on the factory floor to strict EBM parents. Terr takes on “Pedal To The Metal And Don’t Look Back” and does the original proud. Bass rumbles to the tune of a guttering engine before lighter notes take hold. Murky currents are cleared by bright synth blasts in this uplifting remake. The Bird of Paradise closes the EP with his psychedelic take on “Knife in Teeth.” Drums take on a more sinister tone as tribal rhythms give rise to jungle imagery and the immediate threat of what might lurk behind those supposedly innocent sounds.

Initially described as “superlative 25th century electronic exotica” by Cowboy Rhythmbox themselves, the fourth EP from Phantasy’s in-house trouble and hitmakers received continued support from top jocks including Dixon, Jackmaster and Marcel Dettmann. Now, it’s dynamic lead track is rejigged, expanded upon and shot through with analogue energy by two equally inventive producer pairings.

Fellow outsiders on the inside of the house of house, Israel’s finest Red Axes take the first turn, coaxing the cosmos out of the original and allowing the bewildering vocal samples to lead the way through waves of more than pleasurable cosmic tension. Soon, with the timing just right, feet to pedals and strobe to hand, the pair unleash a series of distorted guitar licks that blow dust off the stacks, even throwing in a sharp blast of their trademark surrealist vocals for extra freaky FX.

On the flip, Marvin & Guy zone out and hone in on the original’s EBM-indebted elements to contribute a trippy, wave-riding electro rework that oscillates irresistibly. Teasing listeners with a playful, almost naive synth line, the mood shimmers instead with uncompromising acid, as the pair ultimately push the modulars into strange and hypnotic territories to get lost in.

This record one can say was planned a while back when Robi had a DJ gig together with Vox Low. The next day while meeting in the lobby for a late coffee and a croissant in a quiet Bordeaux Hotel, the idea came for a swap Remix on Vinyl.
When Robi started Industria, he still had in mind that the second Vinyl release could be that swap. Guess both Artist coming from a similar background and working in a similar analog organic style liked the idea and knew what they would get sound wise would be something both have plenty to play with.
On the A side Vox Low remixed Robi’s HARD WORK, which was already released
in 2018 including a remix by Die Wilde Jagd. Vox Low turned the track into a dark more dancefloor orientated version. Still with the trademark Vox Low sounds and Guitars.
On the B side Robi remixed You Are A Slave. He liked all the sounds so much that he thought it is better to keep as much from the original as possible, still trying to make it his own version. He added percussion to create a more funky/dark sound and extended the track. The dub was done in an old school kind of way. All the parts where laid out on a mixer and assigned to various tape delays and reverbs and would be dubbed real time, in the school of Mad Professor or Lee Perry. Not an easy approach and it needed several takes till it started making sense. All mistakes and organic things where important to this Dub.
Robi will be hosting an INDUSTRIA Limited exhibition later in the year, which will
show the direction the label is going.

Cologne-native Christian S. lands on Permanent Vacation for his next EP Tannin. Following his releases on Comeme, the crew he is also part of, this release features four tracks, each equally wonderful in its own way. Super Paolo continues to embody his reputation of building tracks from scratch whilst harmonising everything together using a collection of live instruments. Paolo founded his Disco Milk imprint in 2006 and with every release he continues to explore into the realms of disco, electro, house and funk brought together under one roof previously supported by the likes of The Black Madonna, Justin Cudmore, Jacques Renault, Eclair Fifi and more. ‘In Your Shadow’ sees Paolo invite a remix from Italy’s Andy Bros which picked up plays from Adam Port, Solomun and Blackbox and Jamie Jones on Pete Tong’s History of House episode on BBC Radio 1

‘In Your Shadow’ begins with zappy synth shoots, revolving electro flavours and infectious vocals keeping eccentric energy flowing until Andy Bros who has previous releases on Diynamic, Chapter 23, FFRR and more rounds off the pack with a chuggy, italo-disco remix of ‘In Your Shadow’ laying focus on cosmic oscillations, otherworldly atmospheres and uplifting, swirling melodies peppered with undulating euphoria.
