EP was written and produced by a musician from Utrecht, a regular guest of Operator Radio and the author of the digital release "Trans Atlantique" for Gestalt Records — Tifra.

Dutch producer Lennart debuts on KopjeK Records’ second release with a 4-track electro EP called “Vitamin D”. It features three originals; the Italo and Trance infused club track called “Koalas March” is on the A-side, accompanied by the more dreamy “Vitamin D”. On the other side there is “I Don’t Know Your Life”, a more sentimental approach, which was made together with his partner in crime Lola. French producer Kendal, well known for his releases on Dischi Autunno, Moustache Records and Ritmo Fatale, is on remix duty. He took “I Don’t Know Your Life” for a more old school electro ride. The release came together in the first big lockdown in The Netherlands. The weird times of having to stay home and not being able to play gave Lennart the opportunity and inspiration to create this stellar EP. Early support comes from the likes of Biesmans, Tjade, DC Salas, Mouissie & Miimo.

The interesting U’re Guay Records brings to life its Vol. 39 presenting Addi de la Cruz aka Umvral (FREEDL018/046), owner of the dangerous and lethal Mexican label Veneno. Hailing from Mexico City, Umvral has been steadily developing quite a solid work as A&R, DJ, and producer, having achieved both local and international recognition not only because of his undeniable talent but also charisma and competence. His works have already appeared on some of the most respected imprints of the so-called Indie Dance/Dark Disco scene such as Bonkers, Controlla, Logia, Emerald & Doreen, Quixotical, and his very own Veneno, for instance.

For his debut on the Montevideo-based platform, Addi decided to explore his Trance and Techno influences delivering two fat & smelly peak-time originals. On the remixes duties, Aleito, Cu Da Curuxa, and Parallel (SXDNS319) brought their own traits to the party.

Premiered here, “Viva La Trance” is definitely that kind of track that is devoted to wreaking havoc on the dance floor. Its acid and frenzied atmosphere is mainly established by throbbing and nervous synth layers topped with bleepy and playful laser-like sound effects. Yes, the 134-BPM pace helps a lot to set the mood!

Mahkina is the alter ego of Mexico producer Alex Aguayo. In this project, he offers a perspective of a mixture between industrial sounds, classic rave drum sequences, and atmospheric trance grooves for clubbing purposes and gives us a look back into the 90s classic old-school vibes. The EP is composed of three original songs by Mahkina and three remixes made by: Imanol, Gala and Manuel Sahagun.

Following on from Tu Sei Pazza, Daniel Monaco returns to the Bordello with the bitter taste of the TB303 on his tongue. Acid Maria smoulders with the intensity of a Belgian new beat banger circa 1989. Smoky words whisper over rusted rhythms before the fog and strobe take hold. Cold strings haunt with snaking coils of 303 squawk growing ever bolder in this intense track. The flip is divided into two very different remixes. First up is Curses who approaches the piece in his own unique way. The fanfare and frigid lines of the original are expanded. Strings come care of guitars as a bright synth wave reimaging unfolds, a reimaging with one of the most daring breaks you are likely to ever hear. Younger Than Me close. This interpretation adds a fevered tone to the original. BPMs rise and pitches are pushed while chilly notes soon balloon into a frenzy to bring a full floor energy. Italian born, Florence based MATISA is injecting a more than efficient trancy and bumping prog house energy into the original, while staying true to it’s emotional side. A glorious version tailored made for euphoric hands-in-the-air, get-lost-in-the-moment scenes in the clubs.

South Korean producer and dj Shubostar speeds up the pace a bit with her synth driven, italo inspired remix. Now draped in her signature cosmic sound, Terr vocals are more moving than ever, Curses soothing guitar action are floating all around, all of it invoking the bitter sweet melancholy of a reflective night ride.

Paris born composer, orchestrator and Musique Concretist Wladimir Schall delivers a beautiful and fascinating stripped down interpretation. Built around an infectious hazy melody and ethereal guitar chords, in that melancholic setting, Terr reflections on lost love resonates even deeper.
