Passion; it's the spark that starts the engine, the hurricane that fans the flames, the total faith in someone, something, someplace? And this is its theme tune.

Courtesy of currently unstoppable Paradiso bossman Rees, 'Passion Theme' is the latest dispatch of smouldering sonics on Alan Dixon's burgeoning Love Attack label, which launched earlier this year with a stellar trip from the mighty Man Power. A star-lit synth smile brigade with themes of Italo, new beat and early Chicago house, it's the vibrant soundtrack we all so dearly need as we gear up for the return to our favourite dancefloor corners.

It's backed by more cosmically minded modern day disco themes of 'Infant Hercules'. A triumphant, slab of synth-soaked house music, the title is a homage to his hometown Middlesbrough and its rich industrial history. Remix-wise Disco Halal chief Moscoman & Komilev keep the creative furnace glowing with a spiralling Italo-inspired twist.

Finally Rees gifts us 'Sapere Aude'. A much tougher, moodier piece of electronic soul, the passion still buzzes through the track but there's a poignancy in the sweeping chords and arpeggio that build and build into an emotional volcano. Engines ready to spark, flames ready to fan, the passion on this one palpable. Sent with love.

This autumn, Atomnation is to serve up three remixes from Sam Goku's cultured East Dimensional Riddims album. The original full length landed in spring of this year, and now contemporary innovators Lauer, Paula Tape and Ineffekt all offer their own unique versions.

Goku sees this remix EP as a way of showcasing the sort of tunes he plays in his mixes, most recently for the RA podcast series as well as for Ransom Note and Live At Robert Johnson. The Chinese-born but long Munich-based artist is an assured DJ who unites his different heritages when he plays. He's someone who taps into the similar emotions and motivations of east and west and does so with a nuanced, storytelling brand of house and techno that is warm and uplifting.

Robert Johnson resident and pioneering German artist Lauer is the first to remix. His brilliantly lush take on 'Far Far Fantastic' is a gurgling, tightly woven mix of rippling synths and phased bass. It is constantly in a subtle upward arc, while a futuristic arp rises through the mix and eventually bigger, more driving drums breakthrough to take you to another level of hope and joy.

Milan-based Chilean Paula Tape has released on Rhythm Section and Permanent Vacation and is a vital new wave talent. She blends Italo disco with experimental sounds in new and eclectic ways and when she debuted her remix of 'Earlier Forms' on the Mixmag Lab and it immediately stood out. It has a hefty 90s house vibe thanks to the booming kicks and feel-good pads. Watery effects, trippy motifs and chattery percussion add detail, but it is the majestic synth phrase that rises up and down the mix that will get the big reactions on the floor. It brings life and colour to the track in magically upbeat ways.

Dutch DJ and producer Ineffekt is not yet 20 but has a sound way beyond his years. He has proven that he can do it all from gloomy and trippy to bass-driven and ravey on labels like Intercept Records. There is a gorgeously open-air feel to the expansive melodies of his remix of 'Fisher's Theme' that swells the heart. They soar through the sky as the loose-limbed drums and organic percussion further uplift. Add in some wordless but emotive vocal cries and you have a classy and celebratory house track.

These three remixes enrich and expand on the originals in sympathetic new ways.

For the second edit from Native Red, we have a dark cinematic banger for some spooky vibe.
And last but not least, a very rare psychedelic gem RFX has dug up which closes the EP in with a rite of passage.
