Definitely an unexpected long wait for this one, it was totally worth it though. One of the label pillars and long time friend, a strong voice in the ministry of groove (if there ever was one), meticulous perfectionist of audio, Azaria, who’s artistic name should be familiar for our small but faithful audience, is presenting a strong compound of shadowy elements that subtlety merge with the essence of a slowed down goa trance body sprinkled with a surprisingly unexpected latin touch that we just couldn’t resist. “Bugs” is the latest delivery from one our favourite artists accompanied of out-of-the-question great Anatolian Weapons (Greece) and Tyu (Mexico) remixes,  the whole album is just heading straight to your favourite hottest playlists.

Fists clenched, brow furrowed, he bit his bottom lip to stop him shouting the myriad of profanities the swirled around his head. Everyone that knew him well would describe him as having a calm temperament; a level-headed individual who approached situations with composure and coolness, but this time his patience was tested like never before. He felt as if his head were about to explode; if he were in a cartoon smoke would be firing out of his ears and the shrill whistle of a kettle boiling would resound around the place. Steadying his breath he brought himself back down to solid ground, he hoped that would be the first and the last time his calm exterior would be shattered.

In the world of psychedelic, punk-tinged electronic music, Duro Records boss Theus Mago and Ombra International founder Curses are prolific producers in their own right, so when the pair come together you know that sparks are guaranteed to fly. Linking up at the beginning of the pandemic, the duo set out to create a collection of music that would transport them back to the recently closed clubs. Fusing elements of new beat, punk, dub and dark club music, 'Antídoto', which finds a home on Optimo Music Recordings, is packed with fuel to ignite the dance floor.

Panthera is a mysterious figure, and that’s how they plan to keep it. Arriving at the Bordello in a veil of secrecy, the four tracks of Synthesizer Hits do the talking for this unknown artist, and you better believe this music has something to say. The gloriously uplifting “Eurodrink” opens. Beaming bars border on pure elation and sullen sorrow, a tight drum keeping time in this space opera soundtrack. That same line of joy and sadness is maintained in the considered and reflective “20000” with its distant words and epic synth work. “Bra” melts the pulsating energy of disco with complex percussions while a future vision melody descends. The close comes in the form of “Il Vizietto.” A daring work of astral electronics that takes its cue from the masters of the silver screen and beyond. A stunning debut from an artist who music lovers will want to know.

Man Power returns to his own label Me Me Me for his latest EP and he's brought company in the form of vocal contributions from Glasgow's Junto Club and LA based label mainstays Club Tularosa.

In Man Power's own words "These four tracks originally started as a lockdown project where I intended to fake an entire series of "discovered" 1980s pre-house electronic records from "unknown" artists. I'd planned everything and was even looking into how I could fake Discogs entries for 40 year old records that never really existed.

However, when Junto Club and Club Tularosa sent me their contributions I decided I'd be doing them a disservice by not letting people know who had provided the amazing vocals, so I decided to get them out officially instead. Hopefully it all still feels authentic still, from the sentiment down to the deliberately shitty mixing.

A tale of lovelorn pain, a psychological journey of lamentations and mistakes, the track adopts the heartache of wave romance and contrasts it with clean musical lines. The “Space Dub” of the flip transforms those powerful lyrics to give space for brightness to enter.
