Aimed at showcasing more contemporary luminaries with industrial post-techno inclinations through its own channels, England-hailing Depth.Request records presents a second installment in its tumultuous Hostile Responses & Provocations series. The digital release, in vain of previous episode, offers six cuts that vary from contemplative, ritualistic explorations to direct-drive, four-to-the-floor juggernauts, forged by different artists spread across European continent who showcase distinctly separate approach towards production and are mostly new to the label.

In what is Nigh/T\mare's culminative piece, voices from the dark, obscured and foreshadowing, pave a pathway towards Armagheddon's ruthless, apocalyptic kicks that strike indiscriminately and stochastically; devastating the scenery in manner of four horsemen, they are accompanied by trailing aftershocks, occasional howls, fragmented whispers and enshrouding layers of imperial ambiance instilling a sense of despondency first, and soon after that, doom.

The third compilation (of four instalments) in the Various Artists catalogue of Pi Electronics is hitting physical and digital stores around the globe on the 10th of February 2023.

The concept of releasing artists, who performed at π parties (2014-2019) along with musicians who stood close to the label before and during its activity, gathers 18 tracks to the Limitation Compilation.

Music by New York City industrial legend Adam X, Swedish master mind producer Peder Mannerfelt and Irish Techno figure, Eomac (also one half of Lakker) finally takes its place on the label catalogue, along with tracks by the electro side of Italian born producer, Alessandro Adriani and the sound-aesthetic of UK hailing musicians, Slave to Society (formerly AnD ) and Sam KDC.
Berlin artists Alekzandra and Interviews appear with a synth leaning piece, and a hypnotic, broken techno contribution respectively.
You can also meet the sound of Tel Aviv’s finest electro duo TV.OUT on this release, which also includes a rare collaboration track by Ireen Amnes and Gramrcy.
Finally, ‘Limitation’ presents music by Greece affiliated acts of different backgrounds: from the dreamy guitars of Monochromatic Visions and the ambient/drone of Devika, to the broken beats of Zevla and Ønly, as well as the rolling techno of Thanos Hana. Not to mention the textures of noise band Phallucipher, the industrial slo mo techno of Thessaloniki’s, Archaic Intellect, and the noise-techno of label founder, 3.14.

A crossroad of different genres and production styles is offered in the formats of Double Vinyl Sampler, Double CD and digital for this compilation, titled “Limitation”.

@desert.drone is the audiovisuals Techno/Industrial/Noise project of the italian musician Mauro Uda, based in Berlin, co-founder of @autonoma.industriale . His approach to live music, developed during the years through the obsession for dramatic and dark sounds, leads to a quasi-nihilistic and distorted music structure, with noisy rhythms and rough bass line that walk in an anti-utopic vision of the fact.

He’s actively in the mainteinment and the development of the Industrial scene in Berlin, promoting events and artistic collaborations in a broad spectrum, with the aims of a coherent and unitary reworking of the path of individuals, towards the uniqueness of the contemporary industrial movement.

Composed by four tracks “Efisio Says No” is full of heavy atmospheres: as rust corrodes metals over time, social and human misfortunes affect our lives, scratching and indelibly sculpting us on our path.

Pain and a sense of injustice move in the maccabre rhythms of “Sindia”, where without light the earth crumbles at every step, making the journey heavy in a sad atmosphere that is clearly manifested in “Unsolecited Visions”, which is expressed in a sharp lament that abhors revenge and calls for justice.

Accelerationism, adaptability, awareness of the senses and increase of the Ego pave the way for “Charge and Discharge”, in a coherent sonic evolution that reaches its maximum with the affirmation of oneself as primordial power:

Desire is captured in its most instinctive and pre-rational aspect, reaching the maximum expression of the Ego with “Efisio Says No”.

The Ep will be released the 25.02.23 with a event in Berlin in collaboration with Autonoma Industriale.
