Jenya Sobol is one of the curators of ARMA17, that being enough to give you an idea of her tastes.
After several conversations with her, we absolutely fell in love with her vision of "how a mixtape should be done", the creative process, and how this final result accurately depicts and directly brings to us a piece of her mind. 
This is a recording which surpasses all limits - breaking frontiers, and it could not have come to us at a better time than now.

When we launched bore hole last April, our initial plan was to release our friends and friends of friends from all around the globe, but with the the flow of time and especially the opening of our very own Клуб (@kisloty), I think the focus has somehow shifted to showcasing and, especially, growing and motivating our local talent. That is not to say that we will never release a foreign act or ask a Dutch friend to remix a track, but do expect more ex-USSR natives on the releases to come.

Preparing this release from Muscles & Hate, who is also known as Synkronized, was not at all an easy decision or task. We actually mastered it at the same time when HOLE01 was being planned, but since then changed our minds many times – including a full-on official cancellation. And yet here we are a year later, playing these very same tracks that just don't get old in our sets, and getting more and more acclaimed feedback from our new friends at De School, Digital Tsunami and others.

This is a very special release for me personally because I heard all of these tracks during my first visit to the now defunct Rabitza, a truly cult club in Moscow that inspired us in a lot of ways (although Rustem and Julia were much closer to it) and was violently shut down by police. 
Not quite sure now if I was on acid at the time or not, but seeing the place to Synkronized's live performance for the first time is something I hold very dear, and especially 'Labyrinth' that was playing right at the time of my first entry to the Cabinet dancefloor, which actually prompted me to post an instagram story saying I am too old for this shit.

We are proud to announce our first label release by our long term friend, resident and collaborator Шакке (@Schacke). Клуб EP was finalized while Martin was having a two-week residency at @kisloty, and is dedicated to the time spent in Saint-Petersburg during Summer 2018. 

Three tracks – Kisloty People, Klub Theme and Don't Look For Me – that were inspired by and rely on samples of 90's Russian pop songs (including Akula, Tatu and Virus), as well as the closing track, Check It (originally named Shake after a Russian carbonated low-alcoholic drink), showcase Schacke's own unique style and range from an ambient intro to peak-time 140 BPM+ techno & trance bangers. 

With the first release by a true master of Клуб's Gostinaya dancefloor – some may say that it was made for him, and he was made for it – we thus launch a series of releases made by our friends and residents that will continue long after the venue's closure on May 24.

КЛУБ001 will release digitally and on vinyl exclusively through our Bandcamp in July, you can pre-order it now and download Kisloty People as a bonus . Exact release date and artwork will follow soon.
