His edit barely gives you a second to breathe before sharp and jagged synths come cutting through, kicking things off with a clear statement of intent.

Expect echoed and eerie vocal stabs, a powerful drive and that inimitable DJ Koze sound. This is one great remix.

'Spank'

The tender "Breathe" turned out to be the secret hit from Romins Fallen EP among Emerald & Doreen producers, so they provided five timeless versions: Sweden's A Copycat gives it a retro synth pop twist with cosmic percussions, RSAG's uplifting bass guitar and drums grower is very Krautrock meets BritPop meets Cosmic Disco with a great "High Noon" touch, Marseille's Did Virgo turns it into an etheric wave pop beauty, Boccaccio hail from Rennes/France and deliver a stunning 9:48 acid groover that makes you become liquid, and Northern Irish Kinfolk-man therarelowry's de-dubs the original with a lot of delays and meandering grooves. Purely magic music!

Romin aka Leo Pearson (of Future Bones fame) delivered with the "Fallen EP"already in January one of the most outstanding EPs on Emerald & Doreen, a true gem for lovers of new romantic indie electronica. A few weeks ago, the first remix pack for "Fallen", "Ropeburn" and "Wasted" was released and received a lot of love. Although the originals were really hard to improve, Tusk Wax-hero Jonty Rose, French Andrew weatherall-Faves Club Bizarre, Tici Taci-lovers Future Bones, La Dame Noir-superstar Did Virgo, Parisian Kelton Prima and Irish Replete took them to the next level. 

Emerald & Doreen, maybe like no other label, stands for open-mindedness and innovation in electronic indie music. In recent years, the boutique label worked with more than 100 renowned and new and upcoming, always highly talented artists from all over the world, releasing more than 100 EPs - now another highlight is coming: the Romin - Breathe remixes.

Without doubt one of hottest releases of 2017 coming from the always excellent @cursesforever on @throneofblood.  Release date is this coming Wednesday, 10th May.

Three years after his “Call the Doctor” EP, Luca “Curses” Venezia returns to Throne of Blood with “Tutto Nudo.” The digital only EP was written after a move to Berlin and is infused with the fetishist sleaze of his new home, cementing a transformation from the rockabilly influences of his past project DROP THE LIME into a drug chug more fitting with the dirtier corners of European clubs he now frequents.
 
This new Curses sound is on display in three original tracks.  “Tutto Nudo”, the title track is a well-rounded number with heavy guitar hook and bassline, elevated by polished drums and synths. Think Italian horror film goes to the disco.  We reckon its a killer and an early frontrunner for track of the year.

This supported by two other originals “Canini” a nod to Luca's roots and the slowest of the three “This Is All A Dream”.
 
Two remixes complete the EP: “Tutto Nudo” gets reworked by Timothy “Heretic” Clerkin, the always dapper Briton with a penchant for acid. Then “Canini” gets flipped on its head by Australian musical shaman and co-founder of the Multi Culti imprint, Dreems.

'Further Studies Beyond Decay' - is a compilation of new Everyday Dust material and remixes from 'The Green Decay’.

Earlier in the year Everyday Dust started work on new and experimental works whilst various remixes from his ‘The Green Decay’ album were also taking place. As both projects developed they fortuitously drifted together and soon became clear that the new works and remixes belonged on the same release. ‘Further Studies Beyond Decay’ is a development of ‘The Green Decay’ that feels as organic as the process from which it was created.

The contributing remix artists - covering a spectrum of ambient and electronic music - each bring their own unique interpretations in order to present a multifaceted and compelling re-synthesis of 'The Green Decay' (Released on Sparkwood Oct 31, 2016)

Brazilian duo Xique-Xique take on Noordhoek with their prevailing, slow burner approach. Distant yet familiar soundscapes permeate and intertwine with dreamy pads, bringing the track to a serene simmer.
Known for his passion for afro house, Daniel Rateuke administers his trademark moves to Subati, which takes a renewed, groove-heavy form. Aptly operating tribal drums and indigenous vocals and percussion, the track becomes an avalanche of rhythm and energy that makes for a great mood-setter.
