What is left to say about a man who has been called God in Holland’s best selling debut novel? (‘A woman goes to the doctor’, Kluun. 2003). ROOG (Rogier van Bueren) burst onto the scene in the late 90s. His breakthrough 3 deck (now 4 deck) performances and seamless blending of all forms of house music quickly garnered a huge following. With his unique style of playing only his own re-edits and acapellas he gained huge respect from those who have made a permanent mark on the scene such as Erick Morillo, Axwell, Eric Prydz to name a few and also influenced a whole new generation of DJ/producers. Although being dubbed a DJs DJ by many, ROOG’s biggest talent is to mesmerize every crowd he is playing, winning him many popularity awards since 2000. 

This hardworking spinner is not content with having one of the most successful solo careers in the Dutch house scene; he is also part of two of the most successful and influential duos in the country, Hardsoul and Housequake.

This is a recording of my set at the Defected stage during last Saturday’s  Lakedance festival. 
 
It’s filled with funky house tunes, and naturally also a wealth of acappella action to spice things up.
 
This is the first part of the show, I subsequently went on to play for almost 2.5 hours. 
 
The remainder of the set is unfortunately missing due to battery shortage on my recording device.

Here’s a home game house session where everything was all about vibes and grooves. Backed up by the uncanny and impeccable voice of none other than MC Gee who took things to another level altogether with his party vibe! I thoroughly enjoyed myself as did the 'up for it' Rotterdam crowd. Turn it up. And like, comment & repost if you feel the vibe!!

This is a recording of the set I played at a sold-out Glitterbox in De Marktkantine Amsterdam on 25 January 2020.
 
Since the main room was full on disco with grandmeisters Dimitri from Paris, Mousse T and Shapeshifters and I was asked to play a closing set I decided it would be appropriate to concentrate on the more housy vibes of the Glitterbox spectrum.
 
Due to another booking, I missed hearing my heroes play the main room, however, I witnessed the last 15 minutes of Glitterbox resident Melvo Baptiste... and he had the place rocking!
 
It’s unfortunate I didn’t have a mic to record the crowd reaction: that would have certainly enhanced the listening back experience... my Dutchie crowd went wild!
 
I was supposed to play till 4am but the room was still so packed that the organisation asked me to continue playing... with so many gems left unplayed I was happy to oblige!
 
I wish to thank Glitterbox again for the trust of having me perform at such a fantastic night. And I can’t say this enough: a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful, crazy and loyal Amsterdam crowd that have supported me for so many years. I appreciate each and every one of you from the depths of my soul.
