The second remix of this classic to drop as part of our 30 Years of Vicious celebrations, we’re delighted to welcome Toolroom Records head honcho Mark Knight to remixing duty.
 
Mark’s signature house music sound has remained a staple of Beatport and Traxsource charts since they first started, not to mention on vinyl before the digital era of music began. Recognised as one of the world's most well known DJs and producers, here Mark adds his own flavour to the almighty Avicii & Sebastien Drums hit.
 
A powerful and funk fuelled house vibe is the recipe for success here. Complete with the original hooks blended seamlessly with Mark’s unique trademark groove, and a super slick arrangement that punctuates the theme. The full vocal teases as the tune really starts to kick, firing forward with an energy that will lift any crowd. Adding a cheeky, well timed Pete Tong sample paying homage to Avicii’s legacy adds to the sustained emotion of the track. Mark's  monumental remix works on a myriad of levels and will instantly stand out in DJ sets.

I wanted to keep my remix sympathetic to the original while also putting my own stamp on it, so I took it back a little closer to the vibe of the Gwen McCrae source material - loosening things up a little and giving it a bit more of a disco flavour. I was honoured to be asked and I hope people connect with the results."

Boris Way is a "Love House*" DJ-composer-producer hailing from the French Riviera. He rose to fame in 2017 with his hit single "Your Love" and was named "Best New Talent" by DJ Mag readers that same year. He has since amassed over 70 million streams on various streaming platforms.

Signed by the American label Ultra Records/SONY in 2020, his tracks consistently make it onto the most important editorial playlists on Spotify and Deezer. His songs "Pink Soldiers","Walking Away"or "Gold" helped him secure a solid spot in the European charts. Little did he knows what was to come a few weeks later…

In June 2022, his "Love House" rework of the song "Running Up That Hill" in reference to the Netflix series "Stranger Things", took his career to a whole new height. With over 460,000 Shazams worldwide (#5 Shazam Electro World) and heavy rotation on the most important French-language national radio stations (NRJ, Fun Radio), the record quickly became a summer hit of 2022 and earned him nominations for the prestigious NRJ Music Awards in the categories "DJ of the Year" and "Best Cover/Adaptation".

 Propelled into the spotlight, Boris Way continues his epic journey in November 2022 with his original single "Kings & Queens" featuring pop singer Shibui. This track composed in London immediately found success on the radio and streaming platforms, quickly reaching 3rd place on the Shazam Dance chart in France.

About the "Love House" : More than a simple term, this style created by Boris Way is a new branch of house music.
