Things are about to get serious as some of the most iconic figures from the UK music scene join forces. Doktor, P Money, D Double E and Diagnostix team up on “Big Bad”, an undeniably cold-cut drum & bass slammer, infusing an array of underground musical influences into an infectious anthem from some of the scene’s most legendary heavyweights.

“Big Bad” sees P Money and D Double E inject their infamous grime roots into the track, and it’s safe to say that these two mic masters effortlessly can shell down any tempo, any style. Doktor’s dancehall influences and roaring toplines are the perfect centre-point on the track, and Diagnostix heads it up on the buttons with a new-school drum & bass rumbler complete with distorted bass hits that pay a nod back to that classic jungle sound.

Another week, another incredible talent rolling through the label with new music. This time, 4K returns to Born On Road with new single “Steadyonme”. Featuring Conni, it’s a follow up to the partnership that brought us the beautiful “Look For Me” single on the label earlier this year. That track was big, but this one is arguably bigger with the addition of Inja’s immaculate lyricism adding another layer to the collaboration. Three artists catching a vibe and creating something special - it’s what we love to see on Born On Road. Hold tight, this one’s a journey.

Born on Road is a Bristol-based record label and DJ collective firmly rooted at the heart of drum and bass and jungle’s underground music scene. Since being established in 2013, we’ve built a reputation as an eclectic outfit known for pushing good music. It doesn’t matter if it’s jungle, jump up, ragga or some sublime vocal work, if we vibe with it then we’ll champion it to the masses.

This is an attitude born from our history in the underground music scene, where the free-flowing energy of sound system culture formed the foundations of the label’s all-inclusive ethos. It’s the reason why we’ve quickly grown into a sprawling music family who all support one another’s careers. From stage takeovers at festivals including Boomtown and Glastonbury, to signing the most exciting homegrown talents, Born on Road are always looking for ways to drive forward the underground scene, along with the artists inside it.

We may be a new wave music label, but we adopt the old school approach of putting the music first before anything else. This journey has been an eventful one so far, but there’s still plenty more to come on the road ahead.
