It was not just a set, but a rite—a collective trance in the heart of the woods, where the human dissolves and the spirit begins to dance.

This time we’re bringing you a mix by one of the co-hosts of the Lunar604 monthly show, psymon.peter. He’s been active in the Hungarian psychedelic scene since 2004 as a DJ playing chill out and goa trance and as an organizer he worked in various roles at local events including S.U.N. and Apsara Festival. His bi-lingual articles and interviews were featured in written form on the now defunct site goatrance.hu. Nowadays he’s capturing long form audio interviews with artists from the scene in the Destination Goatrance podcast with his friend Tibus. "For this episode I recorded a shortened version of my warm up set from the last Lunar604 event. While I love playing faster, euphoric bangers for a crowd of hyped up goa fans at peak time, I always found the opening hours of a party to be truly magical. It’s the beginning of the journey, people gather in anticipation of something special and connections start to form on the dancefloor. In the following mix I tried to capture that mood and showcase what I believe to be the essence of goa trance. Hypnotic tribal rhythms, hidden spiritual messages, mystical melodies slowly building up towards a climactic moment, while leading the dancers into deeper states of mind.
