The elements that make up this song were almost all captured live with a Zoom recorder randomly from the streets, events, concerts ... There is a shovel digging gravel, a coffee maker, a cough in a concert hall, an electric heating, a firework in the basque country, and so on!

Everything was assembled & modified on my trusty MPC before a twilight synthesizer melody (Korg Monologue) was added. All this deals with the coming insurrection ...

Les éléments qui composent ce morceau ont presque tous été capté en live avec un enregistreur Zoom aux hasards de la vie, des rues, des événements, des concerts... On y trouve un coup de pelle dans des graviers, une cafetière, un toussotement dans une salle de spectacle, un feu d'artifice au pays basque, un chauffage électrique, et j'en passe !

A victory song for an archaeologist. Written for the soundtrack for the game Vuhu Island which I am working on with Rob, the other half of Archmage Band. It's the theme song for the game.

However, since it was years before I met Rob when I made this song, I decided to post it up on the solo work account.

Originally composed in a midi notation program in 2007 called Amadeus and was my first serious song. I changed all the instruments to be more interesting sounding years later. My goal was to learn to make sheet music on the computer using 10 different software instrument parts with the song being about 3 minutes long.

It ended up exactly 3 minutes long, but the modern version now has about 17 instruments.

One sunny day this year (2022) in May, I discovered a mysterious answering machine message recording that was emailed to me with a humble request that I make a song around it. I decided to take up the challenge. It is a comedic song, but based on a real situation.

A lady found a stray cat outside her window, followed by cat after cat showing up, all begging for food and attention, and she was overwhelmed as a small gathering of kitties stared her down. All because she fed one cat once, he brought the whole neighbourhood of cats! (Most of them are ginger cats).

I had a fun time making this chiptunes piece. ^^ Hope you enjoy it as well.

I love listening to & creating Ambient, Dark Ambient & Experimental electronica (and the occasional beatscape). I have no professional aspirations  - I just really like creating music / manipulating sounds. It's my way of relaxing after a hard day at the office. All my tracks are produced using monitoring headphones (Sennheiser HD 280 Pro) so I recommend that you listen to my music through headphones. My DAW of choice is FL Studio. I also use Reason every now & then.
