Decade of Memories saw some of the biggest names in the field come together to mark 10 years of Bassiani, an apposite mix of talents whose own times at the club have each added their own note to its story. In turbulent times and now more than ever the power of music, dance and community is needed and on October 4th these tried and true talents were just the ticket. Among them, Voiski and Sophie Phare played b2b duties on the Horoom floor, a genius pairing of two sounds who find common ground in their love of the fast and rhythmic. The former a French veteran with over a decade of tales to tell and frequent musical acknowledgement of his Iranian roots, whose ever expanding universe has charted disparate paths in collaboration with names like Heartbeat, Vril, Elliot Litrowski, Wata Igarashi, Crysta Patterson and Hadone (Vrilski, Superski, Wav, Kartel and Voiski & Hadone respectively), with over 200 releases and 20 EPs to his name on labels like Mama Told Ya, L.I.E.S., Dekmantel and Delsin. The latter a Georgian mainstay, previous podcast guest and Bassiani resident whose effervescent and catchy melodies would have a cheetah breaking a sweat. Their double alliance meanders through the ambient and expansive texture of Voiski’s world and the sagacious kitsch of Phare’s own making for a high-powered three-hour set that channels the revolutionary spirit of Tbilisi’s creative scene. With the likes of these two at the helm of the Horoom floor and on good track, the next ten years are sure to promise countless more feelings, encounters and memories. Flying away from the Typhoon Kong-rey with the last plane from Shanghai, arriving straight to Miki Abe, his inaugural wonderful Picnic People Panic to the DJ booth at Womb Tokyo to take over from the superb Alien Sex Friends.

Ryosuke Tsuchiya, who also served as PA, mastered this mix. He used a unique approach, including IR reverb, to simulate the environment of the day with an immersive feel.
WOMB is a club with a very high ceiling and wooden floor. The subwoofer, with its large horn, gives the kick a rich ambience.
