SUPERMOLL LABOR is celebrating its tenth release with a fantastic tape premiere by the DOLPINS. The DOLPINS modulate and wallow in the brackish water of new wave, pop, and techno, singing songs about the loss and regain of consciousness in
times of self-optimization and increasing discontent, serenading the technosphere.

With songs like POLIERT and DAS BRENNENDE BOOT they show that the fusion of pop and techno can still yield fascinating results, skillfully playing with kitsch but without loosing control. SYMBOLRAUM DER STADT and BEWEGUNG on the other hand are highly playable monsters that will fill dancefloors with dark grace and awe.

Nostalgie (2002)

I used to frequent a club on the Lower East Side called Tonic that played host to the NYC underground music scene (Zorn, Ribot, etc). This is a quick sketch in the style of that music.

My friend Francesco Beccaro sent me a driving bass line over a North African Gnawa-style drum loop, which I've re-worked with new drums, synth lines, and a Fripp-esque Sound Stone (think EBow) guitar part.
