All Saints is the name of 2 different compilation albums of instrumental works by Bowie,the 1st released privately in 1993 & the released commercially in 9 July 2001.However,neither version of All Saints is a complete collection of such instrumentals.The 1st compilation was a 2disc set made as a Christmas gift for Bowie's friends and family in 93,only 150 copies of which were made.Due to its rarity,the album became a highly desirable collector's item over the years.In 2001,a 2nd album,titled All Saints Collected Instrumentals 77–99,released.For this release,all tracks originating from the Black Tie White Noise(93)album("Pallas Athena","The Wedding","Looking for Lester"),as well as "South Horizon" from The Buddha of Suburbia (93),were dropped, with "Brilliant Adventure" from Hours (99) and the non-album single "Crystal Japan"(80) appearing in their place.This 20th Anniversary 20 track Collection includes all stuff from all releases.                                                                                                                  1. Ek dink ons was slimmer

I made this South African dream house track imagining the first blood lilies coming out of the soil, weeks after a wildfire. In the fynbos biome, underground bulbs and seedlings need fire to grow, and burst out of the ground afterwards. So the track is about that sense of hope of new beauty after a difficult event. The piano line takes influence from South African Marabi music,  I’ve incorporated cut-up and rearranged samples of local church choirs, and the synths were definitely inspired by 90s Eurodance.
