What would SPOKEN be without ONID? Aside from being an artist that snatches your attention instantly, she has been one of the main driving forces behind most of our events. Without her, our collective wouldn’t be the same. 

After a period of postponing her mix, we are very delighted to finally add her to our mix series with this deeply energetic mix from one of Groningen's greats.

SPOKEN092 - ONID

Foöl discovered his deep passion for techno about three years ago during the early days of COVID. His
first contact with the genre took place at events in Landbouwbelang, which left a lasting impression on
him.
It did not take long for Foöl to find himself deeply immersed in the techno scene of Amsterdam, which
sparked a creative fire within him. This led him to explore DJing and event organisation. As a co-founder
and promotor of Stiltecoupé, he has played a pivotal role in shaping and contributing to the 'new'
landscape and community.
Foöl's style is characterised by a percussion-heavy, tribal sound inspired by the early 2000s. Each of his
sets is driven by a passion for movement and discovery. Foöl's dedication to his craft extends to his
preference for vinyl sets and his talent for playing hidden gems found through extensive on/offline digging
sessions, coupled with a fast-paced mixing style this results in surprising and undeniably danceable sets.

For this contribution to our workout series, we would like to introduce you to an artist whose set, perfectly fitting for the change of seasons, allows us a wonderful transition into bass-heavy realms of dance music.

Applause for SILENT G!

Silent G has established himself as a notable DJ in Berlin's electronic music scene, regularly performing at prominent venues and also playing internationally in places like Vienna and Mongolia. 
His sets vary widely, featuring styles from dubby and funky Techno to Drum’n’Bass & Jungle, depending on the crowd's mood and energy. 

In addition to DJing, he organizes the event series ZEMENT and curates the STALACTITES night at Paloma focused on Drum’n’Bass and Jungle. 
He's also part of the Interphase crew, known for unique off-location parties. 
As a producer, he has released a track with Space Records and has another scheduled for 2025 with Oneiros Records.

starlet discovered old school house music at age 18, and directly fell in love. From that time on, he felt the urge to keep exploring that sound, and quickly discovered techno.

Driven to bring back the 90s sound, starlet will keep pushing “old” music mixed with the new techno sound while learning more and more from the techno legends from the old school era.

My mixtape's are my 80 minute journey of music, my way to explore, express and share my passion. From all sub genres of house music to my outro's which usually go deep and downtempo, another kind of music I listen to religiously.

‘Berghain Fünfzehn’ sees @Luke-Slater creating new compositions from the Ostgut Ton back catalogue, chopping, looping tweaking and deploying sounds into a mix that is both a playful retrospective of the label and future-facing vision for mixing and dance music.

On April 17, seven exclusive tracks from the ‘Berghain Fünfzehn’ DJ mix will be released on two 12”s and for streaming/digital download. De- and reconstructing the Ostgut Ton discography, Slater’s vision encompasses not only sampling but live electronics and improvisation, resulting in a broad spectrum of heady and liminal dance music: from ultra stripped-back mindfuck techno, vocals and blasts of distortion to breakbeat excursions, minimalistic acid, and rave polyrhythms. In other words: the arc of the label through Slater’s singular hallucinatory prism.
