A musical setting of Psalm 121, a Psalm God seemed to be speaking to me because my Mom mentioning it, and then another guy praying it just a day or 2 later...  I really connected with the lyrics.

I had wanted to set Psalm 23 to music for a while, and finally got around to doing it!  I sing the Hebrew of Psalm 23, then the English.  Hope you enjoy.

An impression just came to me out of the blue of how to sing the Aaronic Blessing, so I decided to share it with you all!  Hope you enjoy and are blessed.  The Aaronic blessing comes from Numbers 6:22-27.  See below:
 
22 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 23 “Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, ‘Thus you shall bless the sons of Israel. You shall say to them:

24 The Lord bless you, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face shine on you,
And be gracious to you;
26 The Lord lift up His countenance on you,
And give you peace.’
27 So they shall invoke My name on the sons of Israel, and I will bless them.”

It was a blessing for Israel, but as it is scripture, Romans 15:4 says:

"For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope."

So I think we can be encouraged and have hope because of the content of the Aaronic blessing.  I think it can apply to us as well.

In this song, I simply present you with the words of Jesus, as He invites all the weary to come to Him to receive rest, and to take his yoke - which is easy - upon them.  

Matthew 11:28-30, NASB ---

28 “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

The Bible says Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and so the resurrected Christ will still give rest to You today if you come to Him.  God bless.

I Will Give You Rest

This song is a one word prayer - "Hineni" or "Here I am", or more literally - "Behold - me", a prayer telling God you are listening for Him, willing to do His will, wherever He leads.

The song also remembers Samuel's experience hearing the LORD and replying "Hineni" in 1 Samuel 3:1-10, and Isaiah's experience before God's throne, eventually saying "Hineni, Sh'lacheni" (or Here am I, send me!" in Isaiah 6:1-8.

May we devote ourselves to following YHVH, the LORD.

Jesus said the greatest commandments are to love God and love your neighbor.  This song explores what specifically loving your neighbor is about - the heart of it.

This is Psalm 3 set to music, with the Hebrew preserved for the chorus (Kumah Adonai (YHVH) Hoshieni Elohai) - Arise YHVH, Save me my God.  David wrote this while fleeing from his son Absalom, and it is a cry for salvation and an affirmation of God being his salvation. I was in a similar position which was what led to me setting it to music.

Psalm 145 is a great Psalm just lifting up YHVH (God, The LORD) and his character!  Look up the English and enjoy the sound of the Hebrew!

I am a Christian with Messianic inclinations, and love glorifying God with music.  I've been bought with the price of Jesus' torturous death on the cross. My sins are paid for, I can be forgiven and righteous.
