We both are long time UNKLE fans and jumped at the opportunity to work with their stems and Nick Cave's monsta voice.
We wanted to explore the dark beast that awoke when we heard 'Money and Run' for the first time.... This is the result, and we hope you have fun!!! Giddy up!

Welcome to our planet! 
Bow and Arrow are an eccentric trio that live in a big love bubble in sensational Surry Hills, Sydney, Australia! 

Mindy and Mitchell met at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and quickly established themselves as professional working musicians, touring or performing nationally and internationally for many different Artists and projects including Archie Roach, Thelma Houston, Christine Anu, Dan Sultan, Shellie Morris, Jimblah, Jack Jones, Emma Donovan, David Campbell, Andy Clockwise and The Black Arm Band. Mindy and Mitchell have been performing together for over 15 years and over this time they yearned to make their own sound. 

‘Return To Me’ (2012) was a creative explosion conceived, produced and completed in under a week. Many songs came fast and free during that songwriting session and Bow and Arrow dipped their whole bodies into many styles from slow build industrial ballads, jungle jams, electro-soul, indie-r'n'b with splashes of pop to ambient instrumentals.

‘Don’t Play Roulette In Russia’ (2013) received national airplay on TRIPLE J and ABC Radio. It came out the desire to make music that got people moving and grooving. Still genre blending the EP is a concoction of feel good synth pop, funk grooves, apocalyptic tribal beats, dual drummers and electro treatments.

‘Midnight’ (2015) is where Bow and Arrow arrive. Dynamic vocals, surging drums, swirling guitars, all culminating to a moving rhythmic release. The accompanying music video is a journey of sensual exploration between three friends and is directed by Ryan Kwanten of True Blood. This debut single saw stacks of support from Triple J, ABC and overseas, particularly in the USA.

In 2019 Mindy and Mitchell met Jack Hickey while touring across Australia and they've been partners in crime ever since. 2020 has seen them perform live on National TV (NITV and Channel 10) and broadcast Internationally to NZ and Canada delivering their blues version of Archie Roach classic 'A Child Was Born Here'. They were the house band for 'Badu Gili' at The Sydney Opera House and they also had the honour of performing at The Sydney Opera House in the Joan Sutherland Theatre to an empty auditorium broadcast live across the world for their 'From Our House To Yours' digital platform. Living together at their recording studio in Surry Hills during covid they have written many new songs and are in the process of recording their debut album due for release at the end of 2020.

Bow and Arrow love playing live! They live for it!

Festival highlights include playing at The Sydney Opera House in The Studio and on the forecourt for Homeground (2014) and Corroboree Festival (2013/2014), Fringe Bar at the Adelaide Fringe Festival (2015), Spirit Festival (2015),
and also the opening of Corroboree Festival (2014) at the MCA Sydney. You could have caught them at smaller venues like Oxford Art Factory, The Vanguard, Lizottes, Jungle Jams at The Cook Hotel or at massive venues when they’ve supported INXS (Switched On Tour) in Sydney and Newcastle or Eskimo Joe (Black Fingernails Red Wine Tour) with Andy Clockwise.
As multi-instrumentalists, their unique live show see’s them invite the audience into their ‘lounge room’ while they build songs together on different instrument stations and continually cross between all instruments.

You can expect monster vocals, tribal rhythms with electro beats, funky guitars, weird gadgets, modern and traditional instruments, live sampling, looping and a whole lot of heart! Nature, each other and playing live are a necessity for Bow and Arrow. They aim to continue exploring the realms of electro-soul/ indie-r'n'b and look forward to the next few single releases over the coming year.
