A couple of months ago the scandinavian furniture company Bolia invited me to do a dj set for their Sofa Sessions. The assignment was to do a set with a melancholic and thoughtful expression. Electronic music that’s not energetic, but electronic Music you can listen to when you need to relax and need a break. The deep slow beats in this mix takes you on a journey all while you might be sitting in a good armchair or in a soft sofa, looking out the window and enjoying the cozy and the little sad feeling the fall can recall.

Several month’s ago a cool russian guy asked me to contribute to his radio show with a mix. I was flattered and happy that he reached out to me. I made the mix almost immediately and sent it to him. He was glad to receive it and said he would play it on his next coming radio show. And then nothing happened…
I never heard from him since despite several attempts to get in contact with him. Everybody knows what terrible things happened and still are going on between Russia and Ukraine and I can only guess where he went to. Maybe he promised me to much -maybe he did’nt like the mix after all or maybe maybe. 
Nevertheless, the mix is still here and I just decided to upload it. So here it is

Heres my set from the extraordinary soundrig named The Boombox created by the lovely creatures at the Press Play Theme Camp at AfrikaBurn 2022. A huge art car same size of a tourist bus -made to look like a giant Ghettoblaster/Boombox with spectacular lighting and sound. I really had a blast playing on this rig and I hope you'll enjoy my set just a tenth of how much I enjoyed to play it

BLONDE MAHARAJA MIX - DJ SET JANUARY 2017

Cornelis Vreeswijk (8 August 1937 – 12 November 1987) was a singer-songwriter, poet and actor born in IJmuiden in the Netherlands. He emigrated to Sweden with his parents in 1949 at the age of twelve. Cornelis Vreeswijk is today considered as one of the most influential and successful troubadours in Sweden.
 A political singer with a bohemian lifestyle, Vreeswijk remained controversial in the sixties and early seventies, idolized by his fans but disapproved of by many others for his "rude" language and persistent interest in "unsuitable" people like prostitutes and criminals. Some of his records were blacklisted by the public broadcasting company Sveriges Radio. Later in his career, Vreeswijk was to gain increasing fame and a wider audience both for his songs and his other work. He published several volumes of poetry in his lifetime and left a considerable manuscript legacy of poems which have been published since.Towards the end of Vreeswijk's life his reputation soared again, aided by the televising of some highly regarded nightclub shows, and by Agneta Brunius' TV documentary Balladen om den flygande holländaren (The Ballad of the Flying Dutchman) in 1986. By the time of his death from liver cancer at the age of fifty, Cornelis Vreeswijk had become an icon of the Swedish music scene, and he was honored with burial at the cemetery of Katarina kyrka, a national cemetery in Stockholm.

Recently on the flight to The Gambia, I mixed this edit on my Iphone. The song which originally is a child song from 1915 has been my daughter's favorite bedtime song for many years. I think I have been singing it 4-500 times for her so it has a speciel feeling and meaning for both of us. When I sat there in the airplane with my phone it was really just a quick idea, a sketch of what I could work on when I was home Again ... But after hearing the result and despite the bad sound quality I think it would be a shame to make too much of it and make it quite tight as the track would most likely lose glow and even more of its authenticity.
So here it is directly from my phone - hope you like it! Sleep well!

Bow Miller (1975) won his first dj contest when he was 14 back in the late eighties -but it was not before 2012 he began to be real active on the danish underground scene. Playing alongside Be Svendsen (DK), Satori (NL), Kenneth Bager (DK) among others Bow Miller is not an unknown name on the international scene of slow house. Bow Miller has an addiction for edits and bootlegs. His widely known edit of Cornelis Vreeswijk is already a classic banger and is being rotated on radios around the world. On the Danish National Radio P3 Bow Miller has been played so much that they gave him the knick name “King of Bedouin Boogie”. 

Bow is the one half of the dj duo Angebot. The dj duo's other half is Bow's good friend and music connaisseur Backhaus.
