Samuel Walker and Gavin Royce, aka Walker & Royce, are no rookies in the electronic music industry. The past ten years they’ve been omnipresent in the background of the NYC dance scene, Samuel as a producer and engineer, while Gavin was planning parties wherever the Big Apple would allow him. Now a few years later their productions and remixes have been released on well-respected labels such as Crosstown Rebels, Glasgow Underground, Dither Down, Pets Recordings, Moda Black and more. The latter will have their own stage at AIR Amsterdam during All Gone Pete Tong ADE Special on October 17th. It’s there that Amsterdam will see Walker & Royce live in action, in the thick of the craze that is Amsterdam Dance Event. Catch them rocking alongside the likes of Pete Tong, Skream, Ben Pearce and many more. Oh Lordie! They will also perform a day earlier at Unconditional alongside Wildkats, Nhan Solo and the rapidly rising duo Cleavage at BARKODE, which will be an amazing way to start your ADE.

In the past 12 years, Claude Vonstroke’s imprint has grown to three labels (Dirtybird, Dirtybird Select, STX&BRX), a publisher (Ponies & Cavemen), an event and touring company, and a subscription service (Birdfeed). As of this year, they have expanded their west coast Campout to the east coast, with Dirtybird Campout East taking flight in St. Petersburg, Florida, February 2–4. Inevitably as Dirtybird grew and innovated, a few projects fell by the wayside, like its techno label, Mothership. It has been, however, an enviously positive trajectory that seems likely to continue in 2018.

VNSSA - Dirtybird Campout Mix Series(Riverbeats Premiere)

Our favorite weekend of the year is back! The Dirtybird Campout is now 4 years old and gets better every year, and our annual festival of games and friends (and this year, swimming!) wouldn’t be complete with our traditional soundtrack, the “Dirtybird Campout West Compilation”.

We’ve packed in 12 brand new tracks as well as a mix from our newest Dirtybird Player, Steve Darko, who leads off the comp with “Switch It Up”. We unearthed Eli Brown’s remix of Fisher’s ‘Ya Kidding’, and Sacha Robotti & Kevin Knapp join forces for “King Midas”. James Curd makes his debut on Dirtybird with KE’s vocals on ‘Play To Win”, and Will Clarke remixes Nick Monaco’s “Drama”, which originally appeared on our East Coast comp.

Finishing off the musical journey is several new faces, including Pimpo Gama, MDE, n808, and NiQW, along with Lucati’s “Like 17, Lubelski’s “Kaya” and “Waremouse” from Wyatt Marshall & Fritz Carlton.
