Just ahead of the much anticipated WMC, Shiba San presents ‘Various Leaks, Vol.2’, the second Various Artists sampler on his label Basement Leak. It is a fine four track effort that packs a real punch and is lead by his own new banger ‘Drop It’. Shiba San selected the artists who would accompany him on the first release of 2017 himself, and they include LA based DJ and producer Dateless (who already took part in the first release of this VA series), followed by newcomers Black V Neck & Ayarez, and Brazilian Malive.

Up first is label boss Shiba San with ‘Drop It’ boasting rumbling bass, freaky little sounds and rasping synths all firing your every brain cell. 

Up next Dateless serves up a wonky tech house cut. It features plenty of weird synth lines, popping drums and crisp beats that all get run through with drunken sounding chords. It is fresh and original and sure to make the party go off in Miami. 

After we have ‘My Style’ from Black V Neck & Ayarez, and they really cook up a storm with fat drums and shuffling percussion. The tune is dark and with real attitude thanks to some rapped vocals. It demands you dance and will really stand out in any set.

‘Open Cap’ from Brazilian rising talent Malive then keeps things tough and deep, with heavy drums, coarse claps and tumbling sine waves all bring a booty shaking vibe to the groove. This closes out a fantastic EP showcasing nothing but raw talent from the Basement Leak roster!

From what i have learned today, @jworra is an absolute boss not only in the studio but on the decks as well. This may not be news for you who have recently seen her either at Dirtybird Campout, LIB Festival or even Mixmag lab with label boss Kyle Watson. But tbh i'm feeling left out... I WANNA SEE HER DJ!

Today we are showing off the side of J. Worra we know very well and thats her ability to write club ready records. YTO starts at full throttle with relentless energy, it's one of those track you mix in as a DJ and the crowd know exactly what your about to drop. *Crowd look at each other to pat themselves on the back to recognise their own musical knowledge* LOLs

If that wasn't enough YTO for you, fire starter OMNOM has jumped on the remix. This really showcases why we have fallen in love with him. Pushing beyond the boundaries of his typical sound and taking us on a journey into the abyss, his abyss.

Lastly we have Right All Night which i cant help but feel is an ode to her days of menacing the dance-floor in Chicago. Chi-town drums, dark synths, diva and scratch vocals all layered perfectly over a warm bass. This thing is a heater!

Typically know as 'The Sunday Club' because they work together on Sundays, these two have cooked up an absolute weapon for us. Why this isn't under that alias we are not sure, maybe they worked on it on Tuesday? 

As well as a flipped 90s vocal sample, 'This And That' is a techno infused house record with heavy grime influences and relentless energy. Its made for ALL dance floors and should be used that way.
