Episode 1 introduces the podcast - a monthly dissection of the hot mess that is Forrest Gump, with Chad and Leigh. This episode, titled Forrest Hump, looks specifically at the scene that sets the tone of the movie: Forrest's mom allowing herself to be taken advantage of to advance her son's education. Episode 1 - Forrest Hump

Episode 2 continues the discussion of how this wholesome family movie divides its women characters into two categories - the madonnas and the whores. This week we talk about the whores! Specifically, we talk about Jenny, and how she's never given a fair shake, how she becomes a poster child for what the movie touts as everything wrong with the counter-cultural movement and how a woman who is sexual ends up getting what she deserves - in that classic 80s way! Plus we dissect the super icky non-consensual petting scene, we give our second Gumpy and we reveal how Forrest Gump was the prequel to the Sixth Sense.

Episode 2 - Forrest Pump

On this episode, Chad and Leigh tackle the glaring problem of there simply not being enough drugs in the movie, plus the discovery that getting Forrest high could have healed America in the 20th Century and Cuba Gooding Jr.'s 'remake' of Forrest Gump that is called Radio. Also, Leigh goes on a rant about the soundtrack of the film, Jenny's life would have been better if she'd just done the heroin and Chad says ding dong.

Episode 3 - Forrest Bump

Chad and Leigh go off the rails in these bonus conversations about Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, Chad's childhood experiences with music and sex, Brian DePalma's body of work, Robert Zemeckis' tenuous grasp on reality, and more. Enjoy!
