	My name is Morgan "Boy-R-DJ" West and I was born in Orange County, CA. Growing up in Newport Beach, I was surrounded by the stereotypical "beautiful people"  that are associated with Southern California. Not being the average looking person, being a little bigger then most and just not fitting into "The OC" mold, I always felt a little like an outsider and wanted to find a place where I could be accepted. That's when I discovered The Electronic Dance Music or RAVE Scene. A place where I was not judged by my appearance or way of life, but accepted for who I was. It has now been a little over 11 years since I have found this Community/Family. 
After I moved up to Washington state I was inspired and influenced by many different genres and artists, I fell in love with the aspect of DJing, the music and being able to bring that joy to other people. Starting out was not as easy as I thought. After saving up enough money, I was able to buy my first set of Headphones (Technics), Needles (Ortifon Qbert's) and a small amount of Vinyl, Practicing whenever and wherever I could. 

	Not getting it right away, I was frustrated and wasn't sure if I could make it. But after long conversations with friends and other DJs I pushed forward, continuing to work hard and practice. About 6 months later in a loft above a garage, I was DJing and made that one perfect transition. Most DJs have that one defining moment for themselves and this was mine. All of a sudden it just clicked and made perfect sense. In that moment I was so happy that my Friends had stuck behind me and pushed me to continue. On that day DJ MorgAZm was born. (I had Recieved that name "rave name" a couple years earlier from a close friend, I thought what could be more right.)

	The more recent decision to change up my DJ persona was not an easy one. I love and will always love being MorgAZm but for me it was time to make a change and  look to the future. I have been MorgAZm for so many years that it will be hard to be something/someone else. However i truly feel its time to let my craft and artistery evolve. With that, I move onto the next step of my career as Morgan "Boy-R-DJ" West. The decision to use Boy-R-DJ came to me as I was cooking for my friends and one of them said "hey! is the food almost ready Chef BoyRD" and I had an epiphony "Boy-R-DJ" what could be better and more unique. With the new name comes new adventures and paths.  I'm currently in school for Digital Audio Engineering and Electronic Midi/Music Production, getting to go to school for creating and working with music, what could be better.


	There's just something about the way that the music makes you feel. When you walk into a party and it just puts a smile on your face, even if your in the worst mood, having the shittiest day, You hear that music and all of a sudden, it just doesn't matter anymore and all you want to do is dance. That's the music I like, and love to play. The songs you just cant help but move your feet and sing along to. 
Its very rare that you can get lost in the music at a party these days. I want to be one of the people that brings that to you, that euphoric sense of happiness that the rave scene was all about. 
With a mixture of Trance, House, Hard Dance and that,  just feel good music. I want to give that feeling back to you, the best night possible, That you will remember for years to come.

	Now living in Seattle, WA  and traveling mostly between Washington, Oregon and California. I preform for many different types of crowds, with some being under 50 people  to some being over 1000. Having played with and been on the same stage or at the same party as some of my biggest Influences and idols, like: Special D, Showtek, Hixxy, S3rl, Kutski, Caffeine, Electrixx, Basshunter, Milo, Crackerjack and Many Others. It has made me Appriciate what I have. No matter how big or small the event, I will put my entire heart and soul into every performance, the ravers and fans mean everything to me. They allow me to do what I love. If I can put a smile on one ravers face at a party, then it has all been worth it.
