There once was a DJ called Bex Meli and her loco ways and passion for almost anything electro, tech house and disco found their way to the melodic and uplifting trance fiend of Jerra Mai. Together this was a musical match in electronic heaven. They became what fate would call Boy Vs Girl.

On the boys team Jerra Mai oozes a staggering six years of talent behind the decks where Sydney and Sweden have tailored his sound, fit for a king. In 2009 Jerra Mai packed his records bags and head over to Uppsala, Sweden where the music was hot but the opportunities were even hotter. Scoring a residency at Vastgota Nation, this Sydney born and bred artist proved to be not only a force to reckon with on the decks but absolutely loved by the people that stood before him. Growing up playing with pop music, Jerra Mai experimented with sounds that took the imagination on a wild journey where it was locked solid in stone that his creativity and love for the music was undoubtedly destiny. Throughout his professional career he has taken the opportunity to play electro and house tunes, but fell straight into where he belonged- with trance. For passionate trance enthusiasts, the melodic and tech sounds of his style bring about a journey only known to those who really feel what trance brings. Jerra Mai is undeniably one of those. Running into the crowd during almost every show he has played, this young DJ/producer connects with the crowds in an unforgettable way. His mission- to create a memorable experience that marries the feeling his music creates when partnered with the rapture of a genuine crowd. The Kvalborg Anthem produced with Swedish- LECA, became his milestone initial track where at a Kvalborg celebration party he was able to play it for the first time!

Representing the girl’s team, with music living in her bloods from a young age, Bex Meli has taken her love of music, to a promising and very cool career both in the console and in the studio. Kicking down the walls, Bex Meli took a leap of faith and landed feet first at her first gig at Mardi Gras Sydney. The hot crowds at QBar got a lot more than a parade full of glitter that night. With her crazy persona and erratic volume for life, this revved up DJ and upcoming producer carries a lot of passion with her, allowing music to lead her over every stepping-stone. Using exactly this, Bex has travelled globally on her search for the next amazing inspiration and opportunity to take her career and knowledge of the music industry to the next level. From Europe to Australia, this DJ’s home town are not shy of a regular appearance from this musically smitten mad-hatter! With the coolest spots in Sydney, Bex has landed sets at Le Panic, Rouge, QBar, SSShhh Bar, The Sugarmill and Spectrum.

Behind a great record is the producer who takes absolute pride in its influence, its make-up and most importantly the affect it has on those listening to it. For Jerra Mai and Bex Meli, two Sydney siders deep in the thick of the electronic music scene the importance the experience for the crowds is high on the priority list! From the Music Production course where they met to the club, together, Bex Meli and Jerra Mai create an incredible fusion of what they play best, creating an electro sound that is groundbreaking amongst all genres. For this fresh duo, the collaboration of each side is a fresh adventure where the vibe on electro house and spine tingling aura of trance create an epic take on the future of dance music.
