THIS IS VERY ROUGH,
its an old idea I've been sitting with.  but I'm gonna put it out into the ether.  

I intent to come back to this and redo the bass, program some drums and add a synth for ambience.  ambiance?  idk.

either way, a cleaner performance and recording of this will be found.

This collected sound is to demonstrate animated motion.  It was taken near New Brighton State beach.  It was taken on a trail upon a cliff overlooking the beach that acts as a buffer between the street and the edge of the cliff.  I placed my phone over in a patch of grass where I felt the crickets were the loudest.   I think I captured a sense of animated motion with three main sounds in this recording.  First is the back drop of the ocean and the waves that appears to be in the background but takes up most of the atmospheric space in the recording.  It’s static and constant, but doesn’t move from it’s perspective in the recording.  Then we have the interaction of the high pitched bird squawks and the chirps of the crickets.   The crickets seem to be lower and louder in the sound scape, where the birds sound distant and higher up spatially, but seemingly locked into place.  The sound of cars whizzing by on the street give a sense of moving objects to compare with the non moving sounds of the birds, bugs and ocean.

For this recording I used my IPad Pro voice memo to capture the sound.  I placed the iPad on the window sill to capture the noises happening in my room as the foreground and the parking lot sounds as the background.  The YouTube video in the background serves as the main sound of the foreground and the crows and passing cars as background noises. I like the idea of the wind as the mediator between both sonic areas, where it is a mostly background effect, but effects the foreground every time the wind chime chimes.  Towards the end I think a car in the parking lot was blasting music or my house mate was playing his keyboard.  I used a bit of compression and a small amount of mixing to get more clarity in the mix, but it is largely unedited.
