Agricantus è un collettivo musicale nato e cresciuto a Palermo nel 1979 per volere di un gruppo di amici decisi a dedicarsi alla musica ed alla cultura. 
Il nome del gruppo tradotto dal  latino significa "canto del campo di grano". Con tale nome il gruppo tracciò subito il percorso culturale e musicale che lo avrebbe caratterizzato nel tempo. Gli Agricantus si avvicinano ben presto al mondo della poesia in lingua siciliana, musicando i testi scritti di inizio 900. Nacque così un repertorio che, pur avendo forti reminiscenze di musica del Sud America, iniziò a fare degli Agricantus un gruppo rappresentativo di un certo tipo di musica “etnica” fatta in Sicilia. 
Ben presto infatti, anche sull’onda dell’allargamento degli orizzonti musicali e delle miscele tra i generi (fusion, rock jazz, world music), anche gli Agricantus vengono influenzati da diversi stili. La band inizia a miscelare nelle sue composizioni anche elementi rock e jazz e a scrivere i testi in dialetto da adattare al genere ibrido che risultava esser sempre più uno stile del tutto originale.
La loro visione sempre aperta a nuove ricerche sonore, li avvicina alla musica Techno grazie alla collaborazione del DJ e Produttore Ten Words. Dopo il remake di Amatevi, traccia uscita a marzo su etichetta Black Hole è la volta di Manu Su Manu pubblicata il 3 giugno 2015 e subito entrata nelle classifiche di vendita.
Il connubbio tra la Band, Ten Words e Alex Rubino, Dj resident del club Bolgia di Dalmine, da vita a una versione di Manu Su Manu dall’atmosfera mediterranea con vigore Techno.
