There used to be songs here, people sang and danced. The many cold nights didn't bite as much, a cuppa fixed everything. Well, almost everything. Silence is my worst enemy now, demons crawl out of silence to torment me with memories – so I make sure to never be stuck in silence. I'll get my voice back one day, but until then music's my safe place, it makes everything else tolerable. Even days like this one, when nothing happens at all. But I keep throwing these at the dark, they come out as the sun goes down. They're not much but they're all mine.
