I started writing this collection of songs about 16 years ago. At that time, some of my closest friends and family were going through divorces and their pain was heartbreakingly palpable. At the same time, I was reeling from losing a job of 15 years. Loss and uncertainty were in the air and these songs just started to bubble up. I eventually gathered them together as a story of a relationship split apart by infidelity. The whole thing is a big dialogue, back and forth between two characters: a man and women watching their world burn to the ground while dancing in the flames. I recently completed the piece and recorded it on my phone. Low-fi, high-drama. Enjoy???
