About A Boy

This short violin/bass oboe duet was inspired by a painting by Vadim Voitekhovitch he entitled "Die Dampfstreife". In this art, Vadim depicts a steam-powered, two-legged, mechanical conveyance operated by an individual in some desolate land. I was pondering the movements this machine would make while traversing the landscape when I recorded this piece.
