This is a cross-faded demo track from the 2nd album I worked on for Nick Saxon. He has granted me permission to post this as part of my production reel. My involvement for this project was Co-Producing, Recording, and Mixing. I arranged for this album to be mastered by Simon Davies at The Exchange in London. 

Nick asked to me expand the sound palette beyond what he would normally replicate live, so it enabled me to get more involved in the songs, and was a great project to be involved with.

This is a track I quickly wrote and recorded in the Custom Series 75 (Powered by Neve) studio on campus at SAE Byron Bay as part of my Bachelor Degree. I'm pretty happy with it considering I'd not played drums in a very long time. It's something I'll probably revisit later, creating an alternate arrangement and recording. Feedback as timed comment much appreciated!

Your Heart Became A Blizzard v1.0

This track was something I put together as stage two of a project for my Bachelor Degree at SAE Byron Bay. I used sound design and sampling techniques to build drum and instrument racks in Ableton, using four other people tracks from stage one of the project as the source material. Here's a collection of music I've been working on for a documentary film called 'A Way We Go', filmed by Novocastrian Film-maker Jacqueline Hicks.

This work, along with audio restoration, editing, and mixing for the film formed the final creative project of my Bachelor of Audio Degree at SAE Byron Bay.

Some of the tracks I've composed from scratch, a few I've constructed by manipulating loops, and others I have manipulated loops and composed on top of them too. It's my first time trying anything with loops, and was interesting to explore a new workflow.

Rise & Fall

Here's a quick track I put together today ready for Piano Day. 

As Piano Day is on the 88th day of the year (88 keys), I thought it would be fun to do something that is 88 BPM, and 88 bars long. Everything you hear is from a Piano... even the 'drums'. 

It's a kind of post-rock, repetitive, and meditative tribute to the Piano. 

Created in Logic using Olafur Arnalds Felt Piano (Spitfire Audio), Emotional Piano (SoundIron), Old Broken Piano (SampleTraxx), and various Reverb, Delay, EQ, and Dynamics plugins.

I have recently commenced studying a Bachelor Of Audio at SAE, Byron Bay Campus. Early in 2015 I also completed a short online course (Introduction To Ableton Live) through the Berklee College Of Music.
