I lived in Boston for my truly formative musical transformation from a professional auto technician to a full time Singer, songwriter just in time to live thru and survive the blizzard of 1978. As the snow melted away, I began to play music as a solo act. Guitar and harmonica, I built a huge song list, well over 100 songs. I worked dozens of clubs with the help of three talent agencies. During this time, I wrote "Boston by the sea".

I was told by my great old friend Archie Knox of a book about old trains titled "Behind the Steam". I was intrigued by his description of the tales and information it contained. Over time it became "High on Steam" as this song took shape. Thanks to Archie I've got a new song. And thanks have to go out to my friend Dan Margolis for introducing Archie to me.

Another of my Boston era writings. I was finally getting a view and a clue about life after a lot of bouncing around. A vision of the real forever. It helped sooth the transition with a gentle, but certain vibe.

Originally written by my H.B. California best bro US Mailman,John Hendricks who came to my door as I was moving out. He saw all my guitars packed and ready to go and exclaimed "I play too!" Of course, we got together and he played  "I can always count on you". I loved it and over time, got up the nerve to suggest changes that John liked. We decided there to share as co-writers. John is huge and real.
