Christian S Sax - Do You Do (Amuro Edit)

Firm FH Favourites, Heart to Heart return to the fray with their 12th record to date, this one from the ever mysterious yet recently prolific, @Westcoast-Goddess who follows up on the highly revered 'Springtime Forever', released earlier this year on Sweden's tasteful house imprint Omena Records.

WG's production style manages to retain a level of playfullness while ensuring the floor is at the centre to the tracks aura. This entire EP utterly echo's that sentiment, each track flaunting enough saturation to warrent a full perscription of beta blockers, while maintaining an element of classic dance flavour. This Premiere features 'Life Review', a real umami cut, delivering salty undertones and sweet zings in a supremely balanced fashion. Deep house staple Axe on Wax are getting us prepped for summer. They’ve enlisted French producer JLMT, real name Jules Pastouché, to curate these breezy transitional vibes as we move on from this rainy Spring (at least here in Canada) to sunnier times. JLMT has had a few things out in the past, mainly a more jackin’ EP on L’Isérois and a couple of edits that have garnered some success. We’re pretty sure he also produced “Swoazy” on Groovence Records, which was listed as an unknown artist and is closest in vibe to what we’re presenting here today.

You’d be forgiven if you heard the EP and mistook the sound to be of Canadian origin. The lead synths, particularly on our premiere today and the A1, Coconut Trees, are reminiscent of earlier Project Pablo works. The chords are warm and mellow, perhaps reminding some of Vancouver’s Jack J and his solo work. The groove is steady and complements the melodic work, with a bit of French touch filtering going on just to remind us that this producer is indeed from France.

The rest of the EP is great as well and comes with remixes from Laurence Guy and Real J, but our pick is the A1 as it has us prepping for those daytime summer jams. Be sure to pre-order your copy and be prepared to hear this one become an ear worm this summer.

Everyone who is still desperately looking for the right jam to get into the summer mood can now lean back and relax. Denmark's Gooch is up with a deliciously sublime 4 track EP and we've got the seriously breezy 'Stjernen' for you today. Channeling some early Project Pablo vibes this sounds like it would fit nicely on Mood Hut or Coastal Haze. Blissed out electronica with some smooth as silk sax thrown in for good measure. Wonder if he knows what a 'Gooch' is slang for in the UK though?!

Tom Jay - Jaunt

Apparel Music is delighted to welcome aboard one of the most talented house music producers in the scene, @lozgoddard, who’s the protagonist of APLTD012. The twelfth release of the Apparel’s limited catalogue is a brand new 4 tracks EP called “Signals” by the Mancunian featuring a 4-hands collaboration with @harrywolfman and a remix by @jad-lee. Every single track has been chosen carefully since the beginning of the project to make this record a representative work of the artist who perfectly blends his musical knowledge with the label’s imprint. Side B begins with the whimsical chords of “It’s Not So Cold In Tromso” where the artist takes the listener to a brief and intense trip to see the Norwegian northern lights; the track is made by a strong rhythm section and flighty, far-out, harmonies which really evoke Scandinavian landscapes.
