In our first episode, Francesco, Leonora, Clémentine and Elodie will discuss about self-awareness in the digital world and more precisely in the context of the attention economy which is, as defined by Michael Goldhaber, a system that revolves primarily around paying, receiving, and seeking what is most intrinsically limited and not replaceable by anything else, namely the attention of other human beings.
In this episode, we are happy to receive Leonardo, who is going to be our first interviewee and who is going to tell us more about his experience of self-awareness. 
After his interview, we will discuss the concept based on our research and on our survey conducted amongst students.

Episode 1 - About self-awareness

In this episode of the Brain Drain, we decided to focus on how the loss of control often felt on social media affects us. 
Our second interviewee is therefore going to be Alice, who will inform us more about her own use of social media and how the loss of control plays a more or less important part in her daily life. 
Just as in the first episode, we will follow by a discussion based on our sources and our survey.

Episode 2 - About loss of control

In this episode, we will delve in a bit more on the topic of self regulation, that we define as "the control of oneself by oneself" according to Andrea Bell's definition. 
With our interviewee Caroline, we will see how - after having analysed topics such as self-awareness and loss of control - we, as individuals, can take action to recover our attention and be more in control of our actions in the digital world.

Episode 3 - Self-regulation

In this episode, we will discuss the topic of responsibility: who can we blame for our loss of control on the internet? Can we blame anyone but ourselves? 
With our interviewee Salomé, we will reflect on this topic and discuss if the responsibility is more on the individual rather than on the system.

Episode 4 - Who's to blame?

In our last episode, we are glad to welcome Francesco as our last interviewee. Expert of the digital world, more precisely in the digital ecology, he will help us add a new dimension to our research. We will discuss the dual impact that the attention economy has, both on ourselves and on the environment. 
This conclusive episode is also one where we discuss different tips and tricks to try and avoid getting too immersed in the digital world.
